The wrecked GNWR 61 sits at P&L Jct. in Caledonia, NY on June 21, 1986. Some kids had let a cut of cars loose up in Leroy and the cars rolled at great speed all the way to P&L Jct. The salt train power was stopped on the main at P&L Jct., with the 61 being the trailing unit. Good thing that the crew was in the lead unit at the other end of the power consist or they might have been crushed by the impact.
