First Mainline Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7L 900, Y 900 FML is pictured at Sandtoft Trolleybus Centre near Doncaster. This bus was later re-registered Y 661 UKU and was renumbered 60703 in the First Group national numbering series.
Tilburg, 15-04-2008 - Nadat Veolia concullega Rail4Chem overnam vervaagde de scheidslijn tussen de beide materieelparken in de loop der tijd steeds meer. Zo kwam de Rail4Chem 2008 in (toepasselijk) 2008 voor langere tijd in Franse dienst en reed toen regelmatig op en neer naar Blerick. Ter hoogte van Tilburg Reeshof is de Vossloh diesel hier met trein 60703 op weg naar Rotterdam.
De bekende Blerick shuttle kent een interessante historie. Eerst was het Rail4Chem, toen Railion en daarna kon Veolia Cargo er ineens met deze populaire treinserie vandoor. Na het drinken van de nodige liters (toen nog) rode diesel, direct vanuit de tankwagen van een lokale brandstofboer, sleept Veolia's 1001042 trein 60703 langzaam van de Limburgse ECT-dependance. Met 240 minuten vertraging zal na het kopmaken te station Blerick koers worden gezet naar de grote terminals van de operator in Rotterdam.
First South Yorkshire 60703 is a Volvo B7L with Wright Eclipse bodywork. New in 2001 as First Mainline's first B7L, no. 900, it was originally registered Y900 FML but subsequently when Firstgroup became obsessive about removing references to Mainline, it was reregistered Y661 UKU.
Nearly 25 years ago, 60097 "Pillar" passed Goldthorpe on February 2nd 1994 with 6E17, the 0800 Construction service from Peak Forest SS to Balm Road (Leeds), which was formed of 11 bogie hoppers, loaded with stone & operated by Transrail.

60030 on 6E40 - 1030 Corby to Lackneby steel empties.
60004 on 7V23 - 1123 Gascoigne Wood to Didcot mgr loads.
60097 on 6M68 - 1258 Dewsbury to Earles cement empties.
60703 on 7F32 - 1635 Golthorpe to Milford mgr loads.
Today, the only postings on Class 60 Gen, are the GBRF ones to Lynemouth & Drax (they'll probably stop, when the 10 loco's have worked each train one hundred times, like 60021 on 6V70/E38 to/from Colnbrook!).
DB Cargo Br 185 / TRAXX F140 AC2, 185 392-8, passes Gümmer with 60703 from Göttingen Gbf to Nievenheim with ACTS steel hoods, Aluminium blocks on ORME Rs, Novelis ORME Shimmns and Jaguar Land Rover branded curtainsiders, running a few minutes late
