My 7yo son and my 2.5yo niece are running away for exploring San Gimignano.

My sister in law (her mother, on the right) is chasing them... mission impossible! 😅

The blurry image is an experiment... it should enhance the idea of motion, by also communicating the anxiety of us parents. 😅😅😅

I hope that you will like the result, dear friends. 🙋‍♂️

My little 5yo son, while saying goodbye to the sea, the last day of our vacation.

Slightly edited with the help of my 5yo son! :*

I found a beautiful website, in which there are printable sundials for kids!

Here is the link: Giocomania

The website is in italian/english and the sundials are ok in Europe, but they can be easily adapted for each place of the northern hemisphere within the temperate zone.

Maybe my kid is too little (he is only 5yo) and he was only moderately interested in it, but for 8-12 yo kids these toys could be funny!

Have a great Crazy Tuesday! ;-)

In this photo you can also see that I've put roof sheeting on the shed beyond and a ladder for the cats.

looking up the borthwick valley, from the woodfoot ford. towards the footslopes of cowlady hill, or the cow hill, coo hill. and onwards to todshiehaugh. when i was a boy - from this very small stream, no bigger than a ditch. and rises on the distant hill. i had a brown trout of over half a pound, which was a monster at the time to a 5yo,by guddling under the banks where it enters the wood, you would be struggling to find one that size in the main river now, the larch wood looks much the same as it did in the early 60s - when we moved to that area. and there used to be a row of large elms along the fence line, that my dad had to cut down due to the dreaded dutch elm. hawick, scottish borders, scotland.

Today was our regular market morning for our fruit and vegetables.

A cold blast of weather came up from southern Australia last night, resulting in cyclonic winds and very cold temperatures.

The same applies for tomorrow ( Sunday ) with 7C overnight, which is about as cold as it gets where I live in the middle of winter.

There's a lovely gentleman who we always buy our avocados from, who bears a striking resemblance to Steve McQueen, and his

daughter has been helping him serve at his stall for a few months now.

She is such a sweetie, and serves people and figures out the change. I am not sure how old she is but I would guess about 5yo, maybe less. Can you count at the age, not sure.

Well this morning the cold blast was too much for her and she dived into this cover and all I could see was her eyes and curly blonde locks.

I hope you all have a great ( and WARM ) weekend.

His coat is magnificent. He's got the main bed in the enclosure.

My 5yo takes full credit for the spotting of this. Simon took these photos too. I was taking the "movie" and stuffed it up :-)

The kids were climbing on a boulder (by 5yo instruction) and our 11 yo looked down and spotted a wombat. It didn't care at all about us, and continued feeding. Later it walked up to us, and then straight past. This is only the second I've ever seen in the wild.

Eve. Five years old.

Framed like a character from a Western — still, calm, and surrounded by stone.

She’s not playing tough. She’s just being herself.

Shot in black and white to echo the silence, the strength, and the strange poetry of childhood set against the concrete of the grown-up world.

She is getting a little braver, sometimes she makes appearances during the daytime.

My 5yo dd! At least she got MY eyes; she got everything else from my hubby!

Still playing around with my kiddos. I've seen this done before here on Flickr and wanted to add my own twist! :) So, thanks for the inspiration!!

He's in the cat enclosure, the door is always open now, as the yard is fully enclosed. Midnight and Raphael were sleeping identically on that timber, but as soon as I came in Midnight jumped down.

The Blue Mountains is an amazing place to explore, with heaps of hiking tracks, lookouts, caverns, rock formations, and yes, there's even a cafe up there! :)

www.scenicworld.com.au

Blue Mountains gets its name because of the predominant Eucalyptus vegetation, which gives off Eucalypt vapor, which in high concentrations in the air has the effect of slightly filtering out other light spectrum colours but lets in more blue. You only see the effect when looking to the horizon and observe a distinct blue hue to everything.

Next photo I will show what it's like inside with the glass floor.

Here is a first picture, contributing in my first ever project - 52 weeks of Grimm.

I hope that in the end, when I will look at this album, I will also look back at our year full of memories, composed here in this very place.

This picture is from our New Year's stay at our weekend house, both our dogs' and ours favourite place on Earth.
