The mascot for the 1966 competition was "World Cup Willie", a lion wearing a Union Jack jersey emblazoned with the words "WORLD CUP". This was the first World Cup mascot, and one of the first mascots to be associated with a major sporting competition. Willie was designed by freelance children's book illustrator Reg Hoye.

She wasn't really growling at me, her lip just got stuck there. :)

Just thought you all might want a dose of The Fish. I've decided that my pictures of him are his PR... because in reality he is nothing as the images market him.

And there was a multitude of colours!

To: Peanut:

You were born on Saturday, July 25, 2009. 12 minutes after 4 in the afternoon, you were 2 weeks early. It was your mom and dad's anniversary that day. The night before, your mom and dad went to walmart, just to walk and induce labor. Well it worked! Your mom went in labor a couple of hours later. They rushed to Bostford Hospital, there were alot of family and close friends in the waiting room awaiting your arrival. Mom dealt with labor well, the epidural helped alot.

Everyone was over-joyed when you came into this world. You cried so softly, like a little kitten. There were so many people in the room, like just minutes after you were born. You have so much personality for a newborn/month old baby. You have mommy's eye's and daddy's head and mommy's button nose but daddy's nose holes and daddy's cheeks. You were 5pounds & 5.9ounces, everyone was so suprised because just that week mommy went to get a ultrasound for your weight and they said you would be 6pounds & 7ounces so that was a shocker.

You are a very good baby to be a newborn, you only cry when your hungry or your diaper needs changing. You smile and stick out your tongue alot. You already have so much character. Doctor say your maturing so quickly. Everyone falls over you when they lay there eyes on you. You dont look like a ordinary newborn. Your such a beautiful creation mommy & daddy made.

Love,

Mommy.

Once upon a time the pound came in paper form, then along came the coin.

Christmas morning. Today, Connor turns twelve! He got a 5 pound Hershey bar as one of his presents this year.. I wonder how long it will take him to eat it (he weighs 70 pounds.)

For 100 pictures- theme exclusive

For the challenge group, "The Scavengers of September." 28, food I ate that day. And ate. And ate. And ate. These are the best peaches I have ever had in Massachusetts, way up on 140 somewhere in Winchester. Jeezum.

Vanity got stung by a bee today! Her foot is HUGE! I was freaking out because we were all outside, then next thing I knew she was running up to me screaming her head off! I thought she broke her foot or something but then I finally found the stinger under her foot. Poor thing!

But I will not stop there...a few more days and I will be done with round one and starting round two! 18 days ago I felt flabby and weak and today I feel strong! #fitness #weightloss #fitfam #motivation #21dayfix #shakeology #eatclean #fit #workout #health #cleaneating #dedication #dontgiveup #fitnessgoals #dontstop #fatloss #nutrition #fitnessjourney #healthylifestyle #exercise #keepgoing #believeinyourself #dreambig #inspiration #life #loveyourself #goals #5pounds

Gratitude:

Home delivery.

We went to IKEA Saturday (HATE that place on Saturday, but I needed Tedward there to life the heavy things)... and when we went to the delivery counter, a magical thing happened and for only an extra 5pounds we got all our stuff and all three of us transported back home that day.... cheaper than a taxi. saved us from waiting for delivery, and from public transport with a tired and hungry baby. Score!

Scarfs made by me! :)

Some detail shots of the current-issue "Series G" Bank of England £5 note, introduced in 2016, which is printed on a polymer material for extra resilience to wear and tear, and to make it harder to counterfeit. Other anti-counterfeiting measures include transparent sections with holographs, metallic imagery, textured print, microlettering, and EURion constellations.

The £5 note features a portrait of famed wartime prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill by artist Yusuf Karsh on the reverse side, and a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side.

The Series G note measures 125 mm wide by 65 mm high.
