NGC 5907 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Draco. It is 50 million light years from Earth. It also known as the Knife Edge Galaxy or Splinter Galaxy.

NGC 5907 + SN 2026kid

SN 2026kid (Type II, magnitude 16.62) was discovered by Yasuo Sano on April 22, 2026, in the famous edge-on galaxy NGC5907.

Here are two pre-discovery images, taken on April 19/20 (stacked) and 21/22 respectively.
