Gleich drei Captrain 185 holten in Bad Schandau einen Kesselzug ab und brachten diesen nach Pirna. 185 542, 562 und 580 sind hier bei Königstein unterwegs.
Am 9. Oktober 2021 hat RWE-Lok 542 (EL 1, Krauss-Maffei 1955) mit rund 1.400 t Braunkohle vor wenigen Minuten den Tagebau Hambach verlassen.
Am Morgen des 24.10 rollt Captrain's 185 542 mit einem Gaskesselzug ins Elbtal hinab, bei Böhla bekommt sie dabei die wirklich allerersten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages ab. Als 18 201 einige Minuten später mit ihrem Sonderzug die Stelle passierte ließ sich die Strecke, aufgrund eines durchziehenden Nebelfeldes, leider nur noch erahnen.

BNSF 542 and 558 bring six empty center beams eastbound through Rogers. They'll do a couple hours of work at Osseo before making the run to Norhtown. Lots of new homes surround the area here and it would not surprise me if trees dominate this cool view of the tracks here. 542 went to shops so this pair has been split, but likely temporialy.

Shot RAW, worked up in Lightroom. Tweaked temp. and tone slightly (auto white balance, in-camera, was a little on the cool side), little bit of curves + highlight and shadow recovery, applied some extra dodging and burning with the adjustment brush, and... that was about it, really. Such a beautiful morning, Nature needs little embellishment.
