Synth: Director! we're glad you're here
Lizzy: you're not against us? what happened?
Synth: I'm an old model. we're all biological, basically human. the machines only wanted the scientists. they slaughtered them mercilessly, but it's like we didn't even matter
Beth: or they wanted you to be the only ones left alive
Lizzy: I think she has a point. maybe a scientist's plan backfired?
Beth: Liz, I don't think it's that simple
Lizzy: forget about why it happened. how do we take this place down?
Synth: there are two Enforcers guarding the entrance to the reactor
Lizzy: then we'll take it. the internal database they implanted me with tells me-
Beth: they WHAT?
Lizzy: so I could build Institute settlements. I know how to disable it, and that will start a chain reaction. we'll have time to escape before it explodes
Much like the TrentBarton Mainline having one 17 plate bus among the 67 plates, the new orange line batch has one 71 plate vehicle despite all the rest of this year's E400 Cities being assigned 22 plates. They - or the orange line ones at least - were originally meant to all have 71 plates, and NCT's fleet news Facebook page even released a list showing what the regs were meant to be. Because there were delays in getting them into service, they ended up being late enough to get '22' registrations, except for 521.
There are a few older examples of weird registration plate shenanigans happening with buses related to the 36, too, which I've never found an explanation for. One is a timetable cover featuring one of the 07 plate Omnidekkas that first converted the 36 to double deck... except the Omnidekka is clearly on a 56 plate in that photo (can't find the damn thing now, but it exists). It was taken either at the old Beeston Bus Station or the top of Angel Row - I can't quite remember.
Also, in a booklet NCT produced themselves for the 140 years event, there's a photo of 673 at Parliament Street Garage in red line livery, brand new, but with 674's registration. Or, to put it another way, a photo of 674 at Parliament Street Garage in red line livery, brand new, but with 673's fleet number. Which is it and how did that happen?!
Completing the new batch for the 35/36, for 'first time spots' at least, is 521, seen on Field Lane in Chilwell. If it had come 30 seconds earlier I'd have had it in glorious sunshine, but what it actually did was sit in the bus stop half way down the hill for that amount of time and then it want overcast the second it started moving again!

Info (EN): Guaguas Municipales has had a picturesque variety of vehicles throughout its history, but few have had such a negative performance as the only batch of Iveco Hispano P.K.D. bought by the company. Besides the issues typically found with the brand such as the thick smoke coming from the engine, the lack of power and unreliability, these particular vehicles experienced even more issues. There were times when the hydraulic suspension would get stuck at one particular setting, meaning it was not uncommon to find these vehicles driving with a noticeable lop-sidedness. However the most problematic issue was regarding the engine's insulation. It was habitual that when the engine would heat up this would affect the entire coach chassis, meaning at times it was a complete inferno to be a passenger (especially since these vehicles had no air conditioning. They were permanently assigned to flat routes until the arrival of the 12m long MAN Castrosua City Versus batch. Some had already been withdrawn since 2010 but with this arrival the remaining vehicles were immediately taken out of service.
One of many images I had taken with a trip to the Brantford Sanderson Centre put together by our local camera club. Wonderful place to see.

Volvo B10B 521, a Bolton allocated bus and the first one from the 'N' registered batch is seen at Walkden operating on the 68 service to Manchester Piccadilly.

;Pub selfie, Just had the most wonderful Sunday lunch in a village about 30mins from home. Popped in on the off-chance they were still serving and had a table. Not too packed as the dinnertime rush was over, no roast beef :-( all sold out, but we had the lamb.....Yum! New dress from the TU sales, feels so nice on. A bit thin for this time of the year, but we must suffer for fashion!
