The Px48-1920 steam locomotive was built in 1955, two years before the production of the "syrena" cars started.

I´ve never shown my face anywhere... We have been taking some pics last sunday with some of my 50s dresses...

so HI! this is me, Isabel

Wow, it’s January 5th. This year is already flying by! ;) I’m kidding, of course - it’s still too early to tell what the pace of the year will be.

But, I have to say that though we’re only a few short days into 2018, I can already tell that it’s going to be an incredible year, no matter how fast it decides to fly by. In fact, if I had to make a single resolution this year, it would be to be fully present in the now and enjoy every single moment to it’s fullest potential. Like this moment for example - a KP 5 aurora display over Godafoss Waterfall in Northern Iceland. While I captured hundreds of frames of the incredible northern lights, I also put the camera down for a while to enjoy the simple pleasure of just being a spectator during this once-in-a-lifetime and stunningly beautiful event.

Wishing you all a year full of wonderful experiences ahead! And if anyone wants to join me in Iceland this year, I’ll be leading another photo tour this November. All the info is available on www.dreamphototours.com .

Been looking for an opportunity to shoot this cantilever in good light, and thanks to a timely heads-up from Owen, it finally happened.

CSX X507-25 heads south under the 1920s-era B&O cantilever at the north end of Tontogany siding with a sweet pair of SD50s leading the way. The lead SD50 is a former Conrail unit, numbered in the 2400 series for MofW service, so it was neat to see this one leading.

Chicago & North Western SD50 No. 7000 heads a CDCLA export coal train at the UP interchange in Provo, Utah the evening of Aug. 13, 1988. A trio of Rio Grande EMDs (two SD40T-2 and an SD50) were along for the pull to the Port of Los Angeles.

Love to find these 50s abstract patterns.

Nostalgic microphone based on a 1950s Shure design.

The 50s were a time of postwar austerity, rationing, bad films and even worse TV.

Central heating wasn’t generally installed in the majority of houses, toilets were outside and freezing...however the double yellow line hadn’t been invented, publicans would say ‘one for the road sir’, bobbies were on the beat, the birch and the death penalty were used to keep the population in check and National Service was still around.

Happy’ish days!

It was time for another car moc. This time I was mainly inspired by a 1949 Mercury Coupé. No, this never should be a Mercury, actually I only needed a base to play around with the 27965 flexible hose as a styling element. And I wanted to try a new idea for chrome hubcaps.

Actually I'm not really satisfied with the use of the flexible hose. I wanted to integrate it better, but my original idea didn't work. And for a better integration I would have had to change main parts of the front design. Since I already designed the frontbumper and grill, I thought this would be no good idea ;)

There would be space for a sitting minifig in the car, but this would have to be a bald, since the head-stud already touched the roof of the car. So I finally took the pictures without a minifig.

As always, I only used original LEGO parts, no custum or alternative parts, no painting, no cutting, no glue.

My outfit for a wedding.

Lots of Gumption tins at the fab 1950s museum in Denbigh, North Wales. Gumption is a product still in use today!

These dresses made girls think of the 50s. They also look so summer-y, and it's still summer! (pink dresses made by local maker. Yellow I had 4ever, probably home made, came with one of the Sindys from ebay, not sure).

a 50s style lil sketch for a dress design ive been commisioned to customise, its for her prom, i hope she likes the finished dress :)

Me and nicky have been planning a new series of images for my portfolio and to share. One thing about nicky is that she loves the 50s. So wanted to do 50s style for her plus i knew it what look amazing. This has to be my finest strobe image to date. I really love it. :-)

This shot was taken in a abandon house near were we love. This house has been abandon for a while but what was amazing was that the place was full of 50 and 60s paraphernalia. So setting the shot up was very fun. And that news paper we found was from 1961. Sooooo cool.

Enjoy all! :-)
