A lovely sunny afternoon in Paignton harbour @ low tide..
HBM.. !! Thanks for your visit and comments..
Scenes discovered on the back roads of Montana. I see at least 6 distinct, well defined layers here on this "layerscape"
My final installment from the iconic castle brings us up close and personal with some bright green sea weed. Had I been given the choice I would probably have automatically chosen to have it be hight tide, however I think the richly coloured sea weed (emphasised by a polariser) add quite a lot to the scene.

Yesterday was a Sunday worthy of the name sun-day. In the morning we drove down to Shaldon and spend some quality time at Ness Cove beach. I am naturally drawn to the massive boulders strewn on the northern edge of the beach. The light was pretty harsh for serious photography so I took some time experimenting with exposure times and tried to capture some of the spray in motion rather than freezing it. This was my best attempt...

About Parallel Universes.
The multiverse (or meta-universe, metaverse) is the theoretical set of multiple possible universes (including our universe) that together comprise everything that physically exists: The entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The term was coined in 1895 by the American philosopher and psychologist William James. The various universes within the multiverse are sometimes called parallel universes.
The structure of the multiverse, the nature of each universe within it and the relationship between the various constituent universes, depend on the specific multiverse hypothesis considered. Multiverses have been hypothesized in cosmology, physics, astronomy, philosophy, transpersonal psychology and fiction, particularly in science fiction and fantasy. In these contexts, parallel universes are also called 'alternative universes', 'quantum universes', 'interpenetrating dimensions', 'parallel dimensions', 'parallel worlds', 'alternative realities', and 'alternative timelines', among others.

Dedicated to those who lost everything, during the recent earthquakes and other weather events in the Pacific region.

I've not posted an HDR in a while, this is a extreme HDR, the colour is not too pushed, but the dark tones are one of the techniques I use to create 'Mood'
I've posted the basic HDR settings below.... David and I are planning an HDR workshop - same format as our Portrait one (which is canceled due to weather), please visit our group and discus ideas.
Thanks everyone.
Enjoy.

About The Pacific Ring of Fire
The Pacific Ring of Fire (or sometimes just the Ring of fire) is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. In a 40,000 km horseshoe shape, it is associated with a nearly continuous series of oceanic trenches, volcanic arcs, and volcanic belts and/or plate movements. The Ring of Fire has 452 volcanoes and is home to over 75% of the world's active and dormant volcanoes. It is sometimes called the circum-Pacific belt or the circum-Pacific seismic belt.
About 90% of the world's earthquakes and 80% of the world's largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. The next most seismic region (5–6% of earthquakes and 17% of the world's largest earthquakes) is the Alpide belt, which extends from Java to Sumatra through the Himalayas, the Mediterranean, and out into the Atlantic. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is the third most prominent earthquake belt.
A wonderful dramatic stretch of coast in Cornwall close to Newquay. We were really lucky with the tide and could enjoy a fabulous afternoon down at the beach between the rocks and caves. I took this picture just before we left and was guided towards the right direction by a nice couple who pointed out the best spot to take a shot.
Early morning at Loch Arklet was rainy, a little later the sun eventually came out, nothing unusual about that...
