Sierro es una localidad de unos 400 habitantes que se situa en la parte centro-sur de la comarca del Valle del Almanzora, en la provincia de Almería, y por cuyo término municipal discurre el río Boloyunta, también conocido como río Sierro; distando de su capital unos 91 kilometros.
Sierro se extiende por parte de la Sierra de los Filabres, está influenciado por las repoblaciones forestales realizadas en los años 50 y 80, que fueron en su mayoría pinos de varias clases.
Son caracteristicas de esta localidad sus pequeñas calles y callejones, como la calle Porche, en la imagen, y que se encuentra en pleno centro de la misma.
