With great respect in our hearts, let us come together as a nation to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Freedom isn't free, it's paid daily.
In the year 2007... I would like to know why they cannot make a crazy straw that does not alter the taste of whatever you are drinking. At first I did not notice so much because the gum that I was chewing had already accomplished this.
Their happiness in this photo makes my heart BEAM.

This was taken at Granddaddy and Grandmommy's pond. This pond is the same pond Kevin (Mr. ~Kell~) enjoyed as a little boy.
:)
This is one you MUST SEE BIG. Their happiness in this shot is AMAZING and makes me SO HAPPY.
This was taken right on my front driveway. My neighborhood is very patriotic. :)

They saw me taking photos and decided to launch 5 at a time. The guys that made this stuff long ago where called Wizards. Or alchemists if you prefer.

A boy after my own heart.....our grandson was delighted more by the fireflies than the fireworks. The fireflies in the jar did not light up once caught, this was edited in Photoshop. Fireflies released shortly after this was taken :)

Wishing all of my American friends and family a very Happy Independence Day.
*(We proudly fly our flag all year around - replacing it frequently. We buy the best we can find that is made in the USA)
** (Independence Day is annually celebrated on July 4 and is often known as "the Fourth of July". It is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Patriotic displays and family events are organized throughout the United States.)
So this year for the 4th of July, I went to my friend, Michael's, party. Every year they set off thousands of dollars worth of fireworks, and they're always memorable, only this year was a bit more memorable. That is Michael standing right in front of a firework as it blew up! For some reason it failed to launch. THANKFULLY Michael walked away with only burn holes in his clothes and shoes, and temporary hearing loss, but was very shaken up! It was scary as hell, but it sure did make a great picture!
