This is an image taken almost a month ago, that I had planned to reprocess with some H-alpha data taken on the same night but I hadn't had time to get around it until now.

Da der Markt immer leistungsstärkere Traktoren forderte, wurde der Farmer 4S dem Farmer 3S zur Seite gestellt. Er war im Wesentlichen baugleich zum Farmer 3S, hatte jedoch durch Anhebung der Drehzahl eine Leistung von 55 PS.
Der Traktor wurde von 1968 bis 1972 gebaut.

A late afternoon look at New York Central's Weehawken Yard, specifically the yard leads to the float bridges. In addition to the colorful mix of era-appropriate (graffiti free!) freight cars are four export diesels loaded on flat cars. Four Alco-built YDM-4s are loaded on flat cars for export to India. A set of meter-gauge trucks can be seen mounted on a separate flat car. One of New York Centrals' fleet of tugboats can be seen in the distance adjacent to a burned-out pier.
This scan is from what appears to be an original "red border" Kodachrome that was underexposed and improperly stored. The slide was labeled with the date and location but not the photographer's name.

Got a couple more shots of this train by some miracle. Here the tier 4s fly west with the empty oil cans approaching Sedan. Yes, I edited out a couple powerlines.

Exactly 6 years later, I swapped my Nikon 200 - 500mm f/5.6 lens with a lightweight 500mm f/5.6 PF (Phase Fresnel)
The obvious advantage of the 500 PF is weight savings as well as smaller size for better handling.Time will tell with the photo quality whether it is worth the wait or not.
Due to my background as a black and white analog photojournalist, I keep abreast of technology changes. Every new model or technical change needs time.
While writing these lines, my first digital camera experience 20 years ago is from the days of Nikon D100, today Advantages of mirrorless cameras 45.7- megapixels shoot with the full-frame the new flagship camera Nikon Z9.
This is an incredible technological advance. I have been using Nikon D850 for about 1.5 years. It is a professional level, 45.7 megapixel, full-frame workhorse.
How long will the Nikon D850 hold this position as a DSLR, it already has a question mark. Nikon rumors are swirling at the moment to give us an idea of where the brand will go next?

Can greylag geese be white?
It can be white, completely gray (like the wild form), or somewhere in-between.
Are greylag geese native to UK?
There are two subspecies of Greylag Goose recognised: Western Greylag A. a. anser from Iceland, and north and central Europe; wintering from Scotland, south to northern Africa and east to Iran.
The greylag goose is a large, bulky, goose with a big head, and the largest of the grey goose species. It was one of the first species of animals to be domesticated in Ancient Egypt about 3000 years ago and is a typical farmyard goose. The domestic breed is known as A. a. domesticus and can interbreed with Anser anser. Many birds seen in the UK outside of the winter months are re-colonised from domestic populations and are often semi-tame. It is seen as a pest due to overgrazing of agricultural crops and is listed in Schedule 2 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act, meaning it can be killed or taken outside of the close season.

M33, the Triangulum Galaxys one of the closest large galaxies to Earth. It’s located in the constellation Triangulum at a distance of about 2.5 million light years and has a diameter of around 60,000 light years. My first RGB image, taken in a Bortle 4 area; Borrego Springs, California, while attending a star party there about a week ago.

The world is full of beauty, even in the dark, it shines the light…
In the past winter, went to Niagara Falls in the early morning many times (drove in the dark for one hour and 40 minutes one way)... I posted similar one which was taken a week later. You can see the difference between one week, snow began to melt in one week. This one was fully covered with snow, like a fairy tales world. But it was freezing cold in the early morning. 😉

Das Allrad-System des neuen Porsche 911 Carrera 4S basiert auf dem Allradantrieb des 911 Turbo der 997-Generation. Durch gezielte Bremseingriffe am kurveninneren Hinterrad sorgt das PTV für Lenkpräzision und Traktion unter Last. Die Fahrdynamik fördernde Regeleingriffe arbeiten so unauffällig, dass man sie einfach nicht spürt.
Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4-Mischbereifung im Format 245/35 R 20 vorn und 295/30 R 20 auf der Hinterachse.
Ob Geradeausfahrt oder im Drift – durch das Allradsystem kann der Carrera 4S auf Schnee satter durchbeschleunigen und bleibt einfacher kontrollierbar.

Dabei schiebt er gut beherrschbar quer über alle Viere. Mit 2.12,4 Minuten umrundet der Carrera 4S den Kleinen Kurs auf Schnee sechs Sekunden schneller als der Porsche Carrera S. Auch die Längsbeschleunigung legt die Traktionsvorteile deutlich offen. Mit 10,9 Sekunden ist die Allradversion beim Null-Hundert-Sprint auf der rutschigen Pracht 7,6 Sekunden schneller.

Die Reaktionszeit des Allradsystems beträgt dabei höchstens 100 Millisekunden. Zur Ermittlung des jeweiligen Reibwertes nutzt der Porsche-Allrad Parameter wie Schlupf an den Rädern, Längs- und Querbeschleunigung, Lenkwinkel und Gaspedalstellung.
