(Oklahoma City, OK) - Actually I'm guessing this was in Moore or Norman heading to OKC from work. Or maybe I'd gotten to South OKC at this point along I-35. That car on the left cut me off pretty right in front of me. You can see him/her cut into the middle lane. This was late at night (about 4 am) so there was not much traffic, but I took pictures for the whole 30 minute drive with a remote that just kept shooting.
I don't have a lake or a pond..only a stocktank that has no reflective qualities. You do the best with what you got. lol.
My 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium, somewhere in eastern Utah. Lots of salt from the winter roads.
It was 20 years ago last Sunday (the 14th) when I bought this 4Runner new off the lot with only 8 miles on it.
Cars last a long time here in the rust free desert of Arizona.
Although i've long tired of chasing all the latest Hot Wheels releases I still ensure I never miss out on any Matchbox basics and will try to source them from anywhere I can get them. Quite often its usually all the way from the US but UK stockists have got notably better since 2025 with very few batches actually missing. Theres no guarantee my own area will get these new mixes in, my area is still resolutely stuck on Case C though travelling further afield did yield a small Case H haul.
A Poundland in Gloucester city centre came up with some goodies despite the pegs already being raided which included a few of the brand new recoloured 2018 Toyota 4Runner. Now coloured in a glossy but drab non metallic green I can already sense peg warming status here even if I actually like the casting itself.

Aurora overhead in Southern Manitoba, Me and My Toyota 4Runner
This well-travelled 2003 Toyota 4Runner Sport, Ontario licence plate DAAT-339, has 180,000 km on click and has been driven all over Canada and into the Arctic. The car was spotted at Burritts Rapid, a small village located on the Rideau River in eastern Ontario.
(IMG_4497-Edit) I spent four days and nights at Big Bend National Park in Texas. We planned the trip around the Milky Way and moon phases so that we would have the most time to capture MW images. We also were playing with different lighting sources to try and capture some foreground as well. Great Trip!
Owned by a young man in his 20s I believe. He has owned it for about 10 years. He happened to be shopping at the local grocery store where we usually shop.
Note that it is a 2-door design. Known as the HiLux Surf in Japan.
Model Year 1986 was the first year in which the front suspension was independent instead of a live axle.
The license plate has been altered for privacy.

Here's a shot from the Fairmont Hotsprings area in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. My wife and I were exploring some back country logging roads when we came to a dead end on this ridge. Not only was it an excellent camp spot with a phenomenal view, but the sunset that night was unreal!! This shot was taken to the NNW, and had the forground elements for the silhouette, but the WNW facing shot(which I'll post next) really has the more spectacular colors!
The fifth generation of the Toyota 4Runner is on the market since 2009. It's an SUV based on the Toyota Land Cruiser.
About 1 year ago I decided I needed a more capable vehicle to get me to all the places I want to photograph so I could take the burden and abuse off my daily driver. I found a stock 2005 4Runner with a V8. it's high mileage and needed some work but since that time I have gotten back in practice working on cars and have made a ton of mods and repairs including overhauled suspension and lift,bigger tires and new wheels, overhauled the brakes and upgraded to Tundra breaks, upgraded ignition coils and spark plugs, replaced many of the engine gaskets, added a transmission and power steering cooler, added the roof rack, refinished the grill and headlights, a lot more. It now runs lime a top and has had no problems tackling any terrain I throw at it.
