Sunrise from Eastham Ferry this morning looking over to Helsby & Frodsham Hill. Bitterly cold with the wind blowing across the Mersey. I checked my Compass/Thermometer thats always clipped to my camera bag and it was showing -4!!
XR397 DeHavilland DH106 Comet 4C at RAF Lyneham in 1962 in service until 1975. Purchased by Dan-Air the same year becoming G BDIV, wfu in Nov 1979 at Lasham Hampshire (EGHL). This airliner was to become part of the Dan-Air Historical Aircraft Collection, a stay of execution until 1985 but was scrapped at Lasham that year.
Later all the RAF 4Cs were painted grey on the undersides of the fuselage, but on a personal note thought the all metal finish was most attractive.
48hrs, it takes me forty eight hours before I will download and see images from the night out. It was a good night and I want to go back for more;)
Alfa Romeo has competed successfully in Grand Prix motor racing, Formula One, sportscar racing, touring car racing, and rallies. It has competed both as a constructor and an engine supplier, via works entries (usually under the name Alfa Corse or Autodelta), and private entries. The first racing car was made in 1913, three years after the foundation of the company, and Alfa Romeo won the inaugural world championship for Grand Prix cars in 1925.

It was outside the showroom and some muppet parked next to it whilst I was snapping (reflection on left of grill). Could not believe how ignorant he was as there was plenty of parking.
