Einen langen und optisch recht ansprechenden Arlbergumleiter hatte die 232 498 bei Harbatshofen auf dem Weg nach Lindau am Haken.
Auch schon fast 8 Jahre her ist der Einsatz der 498.104 vor Fotozügen im slowakischen Paradies. Auf dem Bild verlässt der Albatros den Bahnhof Červená Skala Richtung Telgárt.
Damals stand in der Ausfahrt noch ein Brückenkran, welcher als erhöhte Fotoposition von gut 10 Fotografen erklommen worden ist. Das wackelige Geländer werde ich wohl nie vergessen ...
Während der Arlbergsperre verkehren einige Güterzüge durch das Allgäu. 232 498 bespannte den EZ 45190 und war bei Harbatshofen nach Lindau unterwegs.

Viel ist nicht los auf den Strecken um Haldensleben, nur die Steinbrüche Flechtlingen und Schwanzhaus Eichel sorgen für etwas Verkehr. 232 498-6 hatte 21.06. die Ehre den täglichen Schotterzug Forsthaus Eiche - Magdeburg zu bespannen. Am Abzw. Süplingen / Blockstelle Bebertal konnte ich sie neben dem seit 2002 ausgekreuzten Signal "A" aufnehmen. Leider steht das Signal "B" aus Richtung Eiche nicht mehr, es war das letzte Formsignal mit Negativflügel welches an einer regulär befahrenen Strecke in Deutschland herumstand.
For the most part, the tracks around Haldensleben are quite calm, not much cargo train's run on the lines around the little Börde city. Only the querries of Forsthaus Eiche and Flechtlingen causing some traffic of gravel. Here 232 498-6 is in front of a daily cargo train from Forsthaus Eiche to Magdeburg. Next to the old loco is a Signal of the long dormand laying Switchtower of Abzw. Süplingen

498.104, přezdívaný jako "Albatros", se dne 2.12.2017 vydal z Bratislavy na mikulášskou jízdu po československé hranici - přes Kúty - Holíč - Veselí n/Moravou - Myjavu a Leopoldov zase zpět do Bratislavy. Na postrku ještě pomáhaly mašiny 210.064 a 750.164 "Tomáško"

Dne 02.12.2017 se po delším odstavení ukázal na trati bratislavský "Albatros" 498.104, kterému na postrku asistovala dvojice lokomotiv 750.164 a 210.064. V čele zvláštního mikulášského vlaku se vydal z Bratislavy přes Kúty - Holíč - Veselí nad Moravou - Myjavu - Leopoldov zpět do Bratislavy. Jeden ze zajímavých pohledů na zasněženou krajinu se dal shlédnout v oblasti překročení hranice Slovenska na České území v mezistaničním úseku Skalica - Sudoměřice, kde posádka lokomotivy předvedla parádní rozjezd vlaku.
