Tibouchina Jules (Tibouchina heteromalla)
For my 100 Flowers Project 2021
Seeing quite a few varieties of Tibouchina in the neighbourhood at the moment.
Lock Keeper's House, Lock 48, Rochdale Canal at Littleborough. (foot of the pennines, UK)
Here the Canal traverses the Pennine hills via a series of Locks, Leading eventually to Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.
The Canal is 32 miles from Manchester to Sowerby Bridge.

Took this photo using my newer macro lens attachments.. & shot in manual mode (this is all I do now, yay!) And I have many other shots that I loved, but this has to be my favorite! I love the focus on the flower center and the details. The cheerful spring colors.
This flower was photographed in my garden.. which is blooming so beautifully this year!
I'm excited, we're getting our riding lawn mower TODAY! We have a pretty large yard (double lot) and we've been cutting the grass with double mowers. (one each). This will help us out so much! So I told Juan I want to go buy a weedwhacker today so we can do the whole yard! *I can't wait*. It needs it. We put off doing the lawn mowing a few extra days because we knew we were getting our riding mower.. So it's REALLY needed right now! lol That's what we're doing tonight! Yay! It'll be so much easier!

I am looking forward to next week's photo shoot ! I'm doing some really magical product photography for someone VERY CREATIVE & talented! I can't wait to post the photos! & I can't wait to show ya'll what she's created! (It's sooo amazing!!)
I am taking her photos for her advertising & then maybe the following week we're going to do her business portraits (since we're kind of strapped for time at the moment). But I just KNOW these photos are going to be amazing! I know HER PRODUCT IS AMAZING!!
She always amazes me, every time... she's so darned talented!
I'm her # 1 fan.. & she is mine!
I'm going to tell her to read this post too.. lol

Greater Anglia Trains class 720 unit 720552 awaits departure time at Southminster with the 12.53pm service to Wickford (2J23).
During off-peak periods, trains run every 40 minutes along this mostly single-track branch, and passengers can change at Wickford for services to London and other parts of the UK network. For the folk who can afford to live in this beautiful but quiet part of coastal Essex, there is a direct service to London Liverpool St each morning departing at 7.38am and arriving at 8.48am. According to the 2021 census, this small town has a population of 4,829.
It has been 48 years since I last visited the place, and I was keen to repeat the shot I took at the time ........

Thankfully one or two elements have survived the railway renewal programmes of the last half-century. I was pleased to see the station building and platform canopy still intact - even if the canopy is not quite as wide as it was prior to the 25Kv electrification. Like so many others, the station building is now repurposed, and currently available to let.

De elektrische loc rijdt de werktrein tot de buitendiensttelling en de dieselloc rijdt ín de buitendienststelling. Voordat het zover is zijn er eerst opleidings- en proefritten met steeds zwaardere lasten uitgevoerd. De kleurstelling van de machine is erg geslaagd en geïnspireerd op het werk van de Franse ontwerper Paul Arzens.
Vandaag staan een aantal instructieritten op het programma, namelijk van Amsterdam naar Deventer, van Deventer naar Amersfoort, van Amersfoort naar Deventer en van Deventer terug naar Amsterdam.
