For my 100 Flowers Project 2021

Seeing quite a few varieties of Tibouchina in the neighbourhood at the moment.

Lock Keeper's House, Lock 48, Rochdale Canal at Littleborough. (foot of the pennines, UK)

Here the Canal traverses the Pennine hills via a series of Locks, Leading eventually to Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.

The Canal is 32 miles from Manchester to Sowerby Bridge.

I spotted these snowdrops during my walk with Ross in the woods this morning

This tiny daisy had managed to plant itself in the middle of the grass in front of our letter box.

So now, it is having a good drink before I find it a better home.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Moffat Tunnel in Colorado, the Denver & Rio Grande Western dispatched expanded consists of the Rio Grande Zephyr on February 25 and 26, 1978.

Management determined the usual trio of F9s were insufficient to pull the 11-car train up and down the mountains (much to the disappointment of fans) and three squeaky clean GP40-2s became substitute power between Denver and Salt Lake City and return.

A Union Pacific baggage car became a Railway Post Office car, stamping and cancelling U.S. mail along the route. The special train is pictured pulling into the second stop east of Salt Lake City, at the D&RGW depot in Helper, Utah.

Do you think Union Pacific will acknowledge the 100th anniversary in February 2028?
