Am 17.03.2007 war 232 472 mit einem umgeleitetem EC aus Warschau Richtung Berlin unterwegs. Aufgenommen wurde die Fuhre auf der Ostbahn bei Obersdorf.
Mit einem UKV Zug nach Italien war die 193 472 zusammen mit einer 474 hier bei Mendrisio im Tessin zu sehen.

Am 04.03.2022 schied die Baureihe 472 nach 48 Jahren aus dem Plandienst der Hamburger S-Bahn aus. Im Jahr 2019 war die S31 noch fest in der Hand der Altfahrzeuge. Hier passiert 472 003 gerade die Süderelbbrücken. Eine 145 drängelte sich noch mit ins Bild.

218 472-9 fährt mit ihrem RE21 bei Andersleben an einem Nebenarm der Bode vorbei. Leider wurde die Strecke zu Tode modernisiert, so dass für diese 218er Leistungen eher auf Landschaftsaufnahmen zurückgegriffen werden muss.

In 1699, Seiffen resident Johann Friedrich Hiemann took Seiffen toys to market at Nuremberg. Nuremberg was a toy distribution market for much of Europe at that time. Seiffen was able to break into this large toy market thanks to two factors. First, the low cost of living and economic depression in the Ore Mountains allowed prices much lower than the rest of European toy manufacturers selling at the Nuremberg market. Second, the high quality of toys being produced in Seiffen.
An der Münchner S5 nach Kreuzstraße finden sich noch etliche alte Blinklichtanlagen an den vielen Bahnübergängen. Zwischen Aying und Kreuzstraße sorgten die im Frühjahr allerdings für Probleme und dieser Streckenabschnitt musste dadurch mehrere Monate gesperrt werden, bis drei Bahnübergänge komplett neue Sicherungsanlagen erhalten hatten, ein weiterer blieb geschlossen. Anders sieht es im Abschnitt von Aying Richtung München aus. Dort verrichten weiterhin mehrere Blinklicht-BÜs ihren Dienst. Während viele fotografisch eher schwierig umzusetzen sind, weil immer irgendwelche Tafeln oder Masten stören, eignet sich der an der Einfahrt Aying befindliche durchaus gut für Bilder. Gerne wollte ich die Szene mit einem 420 einfangen, die auf der Strecke allerdings, wenn überhaupt, nur an Wochenenden eingesetzt werden und auch dann nur einzelne Umläufe. Am 10.08.2025 war für 6535 (Pasing - Kreuzstraße) einer verplant, also suchte ich den Bahnübergang auf und konnte 420 472 dokumentieren.
On the Munich S5 line to Kreuzstraße, there are still several old flashing light systems at the many railroad crossings. However, between Aying and Kreuzstraße, these caused problems in the spring, and this section had to be closed for several months until three railroad crossings had been completely replaced with new safety systems; another remained closed. The situation is different on the section from Aying towards Munich. Several flashing light railroad crossings are still in service there. While many are difficult to photograph because of the constant obstruction of some kind of sign or mast, the one at the Aying entrance is certainly suitable for photos. I wanted to capture the scene with a 420, but these are only used on the line on weekends and even then only with individual trains. On August 10, 2025, one was scheduled for 6535 (Pasing - Kreuzstraße), so I went to the railroad crossing and was able to document class 420 472.
