At last we have summer here in Ireland ! Long over due !

Voici le train 47894, il relie Vilar Formoso à Ramal Leandro Siderurgia. La 4716 "Barbara" de Medway se trouve en tête de cette rame composée de Fas français chargés de ferraille.

À cause de travaux sur son itinéraire habituel, la Linha da Beira Alta, ce convoi est détourné par la Linha da Beira Baixa. Cette situation offre la possibilité de l’immortaliser à proximité du village d’Alcaria. De cet endroit, on peut distinguer le Malhão da Estrela. Grâce aux deux dômes d’une ancienne station radar qu’elle abrite, cette montagne est facilement reconnaissable. Avec ses 1993 mètres d’altitude, il s’agit du point culminant du Portugal continental.

4716 and 4204 stand in Goulburn Yard with an ARTC Ballast train in May 2011. While 4204 was no stranger to the main south, the 47 Class very rarely worked on the Main South line whilst in government service. Both locomotives were on hire to SSR when this photo was taken.
