With a single ES44AC as power, FSRR's QMXCT has no problem doing track speed as it flies by the SC 255 on it's way down the Acultzingo district.
A small group of migrants can be seen on the right looking for somewhere with shadow to rest, as they wait for a northbound train to continue their trip to the US.
Cañada Morelos, Puebla
A gem from my 2013 archives. I was searching for something entirely different, and came across this image of one of the Western Bluebirds I was "taking care of" as part of the Restoration Project on Mt. Diablo. I vaguely remember where he was: I never forget a bird hiding in bramble, especially when for a second or two he's in the open. This was taken by the meadow across from Old Borges Ranch. He was in his prime and I never passed up an opprtunity at a thrush (though until 2005, I didn't know that robins and bluebirds were thrushes).

This is the first hummingbird I've ever shot. He made it easy by coming to the same small branch. The yellow flowers in the background made a nice addition I thought. Next goal is to capture one in flight.
30th August 2020. On loan from the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, GWR 0-6-0PT 4612 shunts between platforms at Wansford.
