This was another sighting of a wild Northern Saw-Whet owl which I had not seen for 5 years. 2017 was an exceptional year for owl sightings but 2018 is not turning out to be the same. But the year is still young! Taken in a park in Calgary, Alberta.

Tussen Spontin en Braibant werden op maandag 15 augustus slechts 2 motorwagens ingezet. Enerzijds het groentje en anderzijds deze met een geel-rode livrei. Hier passeert die laatste de spooroverweg te Gemenne op weg naar Braibant, waar ze zal terugkeren wegens werken op het Infrbelnet.

Tacked onto the rear of Wheeling & Lake Erie train 535, WLE #6383 and #6958 help #4602 on the front end bring their hefty train past the Cardinal Power Plant bound for National Lime & Stone in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Once reached their destination, after unloading their cars will drop #4602 to be used within NLS on its own. #6383 and #6958 will bring the train of empties back to Mingo Junction on their own.

2020-21:Scored 22.5 in CAPA Prairie Zone competition: 'The exposure is good and the image is sharp. There are two distractions. The first is the yellow band across the top and the second is the bright area in the left of the water. A crop from the top and the left side plus darkening the water would fix this and make the Sandhill Cranes more prominent.'
