What makes our bread...the flowers are not shown here :-). They are small and green. I will try to capture them next year. I grew up on a collective farm (Kibutzt) and never asked myself for the whereabouts of florets on the wheat plant, which we farmed every year. This is what I learned:
The wheat plant is a tall annual and typically grows to a height of four feet (1.2 meters). The leaves, similar to those of other grasses, appear early and are followed by slender stalks that produce flowers. Flowers that are fertilized produce seeds called grains or kernels. The wheat kernel is made up of three parts: the endosperm, the bran, and the germ. The tiny germ is the part of the kernel that will sprout and grow into a new wheat plant if the seed is planted.

Bei beeindruckender Wolkenstimmung war diese 460 mit ihrem IR aus Brig am Genfersee bei St. Saphorin zu sehen.
Loc 460 025 van de MÀV rangeert met een korte set Raaber City rijtuigen. Budapest Keleti Pu, 17 juli 2019.
Schon seit einiger Zeit kommt 218 460, besser bekannt als Conny, bei der SOB in Mühldorf zum Einsatz, hauptsächlich auf der Strecke München - Mühldorf. Am 27.12.2022 zog sie RB 27023 auf der genannten Strecke und wurde kurz nach Schwindegg abgelichtet.

218 460 zog heute am 12.04.2021 den RE 11446 von Hamburg nach Kiel über Lübeck.
Hier sieht man Conny grade kurz vor Kiel an der Abzweigstelle SS.
218 460 von der Westfrankenbahn, die auf dem Namen "Conny" hört, war 2017 bei der SOB im Einsatz. Am 17.03.2017 war diese zwischen München und Mühldorf unterwegs.
Wegen einer Störung bei Mägenwil wurden an diesem Vormittag etliche Züge via Wildegg umgeleitet - so auch diese 460 mit ihrem Dosto IC.
Am 03.09.2021 zog die 460 041 mit der Coop Werbung ihre IR36-Garnitur von Basel nach Zürich und konnte bei Turig AG verewigt werden.
Die Migros Werbelok 460 080 war am Abend des 26.8.16 bei Mols am Walensee unterwegs von Chur nach Zürich.
Im Block vor dem RAe TEE kam noch der IR aus Chiasso mit der 460 098 mit Werbung für den GBT durch Intschi gefahren.

Great Western Railway Modified Hall Class No. 7903 'Foremarke Hall' is a preserved British steam locomotive, built in 1949 at Swindon Works. The loco was named after the Derbyshire stately home.
460er an den Nachtzügen in der Ostschweiz sind eher eine Seltenheit - am 10.6.17 war sogar die "Banane - Chiquita" 460 029 an dem ersten Nachtzug. An diesem Tag wurde er nicht via St. Gallen umgeleitet sondern fuhr via St. Margrethen - Buchs - Sargans nach Zürich. Aufgenommen wurde der Zug in einer Wolkenlücke bei Sevelen.
Die Gotthard Werbelok 460 098 bespannte einen IR von Locarno nach Zürich und war hier bei Steinen zu sehen.
Auf ihrer letzten Fahrt mit der Werbung "Zugbegleiter" war die 460 028 bei Arth unterwegs nach Bellinzona, wo die Lok dann etwas später wieder in rot erstrahlte.
