Pouillot véloce (Phylloscopus collybita), Neuchâtel, Suisse.
Oiseau commun des forêts, parcs et jardins d’Europe, le Pouillot véloce niche au sol ou à moins de 1 mètre de hauteur dans un nid rond complètement fermé construit par la femelle. C’est elle aussi qui couve les œufs. Le mâle, quant à lui, défend le territoire et aide la femelle à nourrir la nichée. Il faut dire qu’ils ne sont pas trop de 2 pour fournir chaque jour à leurs 6 ou 7 oisillons jusqu’à 450 becquées constituées de chenilles, petits insectes et araignées. Ce petit migrateur hiverne essentiellement autour de la Méditerranée. C’est donc l’un des premiers à revenir au printemps, tout comme le Rouge-queue noir ou la Fauvette à tête noire, ce qui lui permet d’élever 2 nichées entre avril et août.

I am doing very well on my project. Reached 450 images to date. It becomes more complicated to keep track of the inventory. I am aware that some flower types are posted more than once, but I always make sure that if it is the same flower, it will show something that I did not capture the first time around. This image shows the Dandelion's demise :-)

Agrilus cf. acutus, Family: Buprestidae
Buprestidae is a family of beetles known as jewel beetles or metallic wood-boring beetles because of their glossy iridescent colors. The family is among the largest of the beetles, with some 15,000 species known in 450 genera. In addition, almost 100 fossil species have been described.
A variety of bright colors are known, often in complicated patterns. The iridescence common to these beetles is not due to pigments in the exoskeleton, but instead is caused by structural coloration, in which microscopic texture in their cuticle selectively reflects specific frequencies of light in particular directions. This is the same effect that makes a compact disc reflect multiple colors.
The larvae bore through roots, logs, stems, and leaves of various types of plants, ranging from trees to grasses.
Agrilus is a genus of jewel beetles, notable for having the largest number of species (about 3000) of any single genus in the animal kingdom.
Am 21.04.21 wurde die 218 450 für die Lahntalbahn gemeldet. Laut der Wetterapp könnte sogar gutes Wetter gelingen, aber ist halt ne Vorhersage. ;-)
Entsprechend der geschätzten Zeit kam die Fuhre dann auch und konnte dann mit dem Ortsblick auf Villmar beim König-Konrad-Denkmal realisiert werden.
Leider doch mit Wolken. ;-)

This impressive mountain was known to the Athabaskan and many other native tribes as Denali (“The High/Tall One”) and to the Russians as Bolshaya Gora (“Great Mountain”). An easy one to name...

Am 16.4.2014 konnte man im Vorharz noch richtige Züge fotografieren-Die Braunschweiger 218 450 befindet sich mit RE 14071 am besagten Tag kurz vor Goslar.
De eerste klik, volledig ingezoomd. Van dat ’moet op 50mm’-geleuter word ik altijd een beetje moe. Wie bepaalt dah? Enfin, hier BEG 218 450 (Henschel & Sohn, 1977) met de alutrein uit Spellen. Het geheel zal zo de ‘Alter Bahnhof‘ passeren.
Deutsch: das erste Bild aus der Ferne, mit 135mm aufgenommen. Das ewige Gelaber über ‘es soll mit 50mm‘ ätzt mich sowieso an. Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: hier die BEG 218 450 (Henschel & Sohn, 1977) mit dem Alubrammenzug aus Spellen. Der Zug wird in wenigen Sekunden am ‘Alten Bahnhof‘ vorbei fahren.
