365 Project Day 4

I did actually take a lot of photos today during my lunch break and after work, but in the end I ignored them and took a picture of myself. This was mainly because an online acquaintance mentioned he was trying to lose weight over the next year and it occurred to me that I've done the opposite during the last year. It was very easy to get in to a rut and let work stress and other factors just get in the way of stuff. So today I plan and tomorrow I act - a slow, steady, measured campaign.

I'm up in port douglas visiting my parents. It's my first time here and I can see why they moved here! This is a great view of the famous 4 mile beach.

Walking around the sleepy side streets of Bruges. I love all the character that each address had. All were drastically different, whether it was the doorknob, the way the address was painted, the woodwork, or the facade.

Each house or building had a unique personality...

On April 16th I went out to Woodward Park which has a large lake that is the home to many ducks and geese. On this day there were a group of 13 half grown chocolate brown ducklings that came up to me and I could swear the first one was smiling as he wagged his tail and bobbed his head. I backed up a little as he followed me wagging his tail and smiling and they all followed him. This happened twice that day. Well here is their father. This whole family including mom are new to our lake and I am so glad they are here.

The Four Queens hotel and casino is one of the last hold-outs when it comes to resort fees. In fact, I can’t think of any other Las Vegas hotel that doesn’t charge them. Four Queens is right in the center of the action on Fremont Street so, if you are willing to stay off of the Strip, this is the place to be!

Walk in some woodland or countryside, I always come across discarded beer cans.

This is the third and final shot taken at Trillium Lake. This was three picture stitch taken 4 minutes prior to my mauve sky shot. If you look at the very lower corner of the sky, by the trees, you can see the sky starting to change mauve in color. On sunsets the sky changes very rapidly. We went there to take a shot of the Alpine glow, which is the first shot. This one would be the second taken and the mauve sky was after the sun completely disappeared.

Week 4

Theme: music

The snowy ground this week stopped my first idea, so instead we have a backdrop of vinyl! A much warmer option, at least :]
