J'étais cette après midi dans un restaurant bar à tartines et autres patisseries d'antan, à Tournefeuille près de Toulouse. Pour faire des photos du lieu. Mais je ne pouvais pas sortir de là sans capter un moment humain... Il fallait seulement attendre.
Pendant la pause cigarette, je vois entrer deux dames qui se tenaient par le bras. J'ai su plus tard qu'elles venaient là prendre le gouter tous les jours depuis l'ouverture il y a deux semaines.
Amies de longue date, confidentes, elles se parlaient de leur vie comme dans un livre. Un vocabulaire parfait, des phrases nettes, un vouvoiement touchant.
L'une soufflant sur son thé, l'autre me demandant comment se réalise un tatouage comme celui que je porte sur le bras, elles étaient là devant moi et devant le monde entier en train de prouver à qui veut bien le voir que le temps ne détruit rien. On peut rendre au crépuscule la beauté des aurores ;)
Going back over some of the photos I took last June in Washington State. This is a 5 image HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex 2. I finally figured out that the way to eliminate haloing that I was getting in some images was by reducing the ghosting setting from 100% to 20 or 40%.

Oh, how I wish I could get you in the frame just a bit more often. You are my inquisitive, amazing, tenderhearted boy... and on the rare occasions you do let me photograph you that jumps right out and grabs me. Your soul shines through. You are now ten years old, and you have such a wonder about you. Curiosity is just your nature. I love that about you. You find something fascinating about even the most mundane things life has to offer you. I hope with all i have that never changes as it is such a rare gift to have.
