The original house outline can be seen on the roof. The simple addition houses the master bedroom, bathroom and laundry. The deck is also new.
Finished with this module. I might come back and apply a few textures. I believe the gold color actually represents the reflective foil we are used to seeing on space vehicles.
A color 3D model of a water-soluble peptide was made based on the crystallographic experimental coordinates (www.PDB.org). The peptide model was 'fine-tuned' (color, scale & representation) in PyMol (www.pymol.org) before being converted to a VRML file format and 3D printed in NextFab Studio's Z-Corp Spectrum Z510 3D printer. Tech Supervisor Derek Spence of NextFab has developed techniques which allow us to push the limits of the 3D printing process and successfully build models of this complexity.
This was made in Google Sketchup in a couple minutes. It's supposed to look like the prop towns from the spaghetti westerns of the 1950s-1970s.

This is one of our projects from 3DMODEL. It's probably one of the two things that I'm proud of. We were tasked to create our very own logo. Since I am proud about being under Year of the Dragon and when I googled characteristics of being a dragon (and it fits me), I decided that my logo will be a dragon. Also, my nickname starts with "b", thus the letter b on the wallpaper. Oh yeah, I love color green, which pretty much explains the background. meh.
