Within BOtanique 2011, Apparati Effimeri presented a project called LINFA VITALE, lifeblood. This three-dimensional performance has been dedicated to the great tradition of the botanic studies of the Bolognese School and focuses on “the garden”.
LINFA VITALE was a 3D story which arises from the study of ancient herbals. Bologna itself played an important role in order to build up the tradition of botany. In fact Ulisse Aldrovandi introduced a methodology which was to become a reference for the following studies of plant life.
Starting from this impressive and eclectic iconographical documentation, full of references to peculiar figures and often to mythological human and vegetable teratology, Apparati Effimeri carried out 3D effects that showed the most advanced technical innovations in the field of Visual Architectural Mapping.

This is definitely a very different style compare to my previous cuttle work. Thanks my super-duper busy CNY week, I actually almost forgot to do my cuttle work. Only realize it last Sunday midnight. So due to short of time, I decided to go for only Black & White.

Synn Chastity is the younger twin of the Synn Sisters. Their job is to hunt down angels who defy god's order & execute them. The giant scythe that the Sisters wield are actually demon scythe which has the ability to detect angels in disguise as human on Earth. I decided to do the younger twin instead of the older twin cuz I needed time to learn cloth colouring.
For this artwork, I used a lot of reference from Marvel & DC comic books that I borrow from my sifu. I took quite some time to study up the human proportion & body movement. I tell ya it was bloody hard! I only used one normal solid brush (no airbrush) with opacity: 10% and flow: 100%. Then just apply burn & dodge tool. Originally, there's no background at all. But finally decided to just add in to give a better view/perspective although it's in sketch. ^^;
Despite the long hours i spent for this artwork, this is actually a rush one. I only got time to do it after midnight cuz I was practically out almost whole day from morning till night. So I had to spend 3 midnights to finish it. However, I admit that I enjoyed doing this artwork a lot cuz it's really challenging for me to do proper human proportion + body movement & it also sets another level for me. So YAY!
Note: I notice majority of the super heroines has BIG boobs. So I just can't help but hv Chastity with big boobies too. XD

Mr. Number 1 shows off one of RDC Design Group's many capabilities. We created, modeled, textured, and animated Number 1 for the First Children's Academy.
The old Belmont Tunnel and electric station, long relegated the the whims of local gangbangers, grafitti artists and taggers. This has since been torn down and replaced by an abomonation.

2nd attempt at an upload, this time as an mpeg-4. Maybe the music will make it across this time.
Another animated cross-eye stereogram. I find the only comfortable way to view this is by holding my hands out, palms forward about an inch apart and peering through the gap.
Incidental music written using Sibelius 6, it allows you to link key points in the score with key points in the video. I'm not enormously proud of the (utilitarian) music, I just think that the video is probably a little better with it than without.
No pretense at image quality, this took most of the weekend to render.
Check out this 3D concept we created using 3Ds Max and Mental Ray. The lighting set up in this scene is a daylight system with advanced lighting effects such as Global Illumination, Final Gather and Ambient Occlusion.
