A pano compiled by the DJI drone using its Pano > Free mode that lets us set a starting position and a finishing position. When we press Start, it shoots all the raw photos and compiles them into a jpeg panorama.

Let the drone go up 320 ft (97.5 m) and rotate it a bit, and it's amazing what we can see.

I'm having such a good time!

These panorama photos are technically rubbish, without a particular subject, without a foreground lead in, but who cares?

ACWR train 300 rolls eastbound through the rural town of Midland with a matching trio of spiffy SD40-3s and 78 cars in tow.

A trio of GP35-3s roll south out of Cleveland along Tinkers Creek on the sunny morning of March 11, 2024. This job has been pretty tricky to catch geeps on lately as they've been running SD40s up here more often. And now with 25mph track for nearly the entire line, you have to plan your shots well in advance.

For those who are not aware, this device uses diffraction to focus a point source placed at infinity (stars) with great precision.

I finished the raw print with fine sandpaper and applied a coat of matt black anti-reflection paint.

Having considered a non-exclusive use on the 300mm, the mask connects by pressure like a cap directly on the 82mm diameter lens hoods.

A still, clear evening with the last rays of light striking Little Horn, rising above the Twisted Lakes and autumn fagus.(Gondwanaland relic - Nothofagus gunii). Another relic of the super-continent Gondwanaland are the pencil pines, silhouetted to the left of Little Horn, these pines around 1,000years old.

Apologies for my continuing abscence from your streams...have processed this against doctor's orders - head injury still to heal following car crash - not meant to stimulate the brain! :(

This is going to be another 2 or 3-parter. Still have not decided which DAK vehicles to use yet. We were watching greatest tank battles the other day and this was one of the battles on that day. The scene will be more diorama style than a full fledged scene. There are more than a few tan slopes in there, only have so many of them. ;) The show featured Panzer 2s, 3s, 4s, a few Tigers, Marders, KP trucks, Kubels, and Opels on the DAK side. Shermans, M3 Halfs with the 75mm, Priests, Deuces, and M10 Wolverines. So many choices to pick from. LOL
