This is a big challenge for me. I don't build "real" things, almost everything I do is set in or inspired by Star Wars. The issues I had to tackle here aside from determining scale were the curved glass front which spans both floors, making the second floor and roof removable (you can see the separation between floors inbetween the windows on the left side of the building), and dealing with the variances between the masonry brick outer wall, and the regular brick inner wall, which is SLIGHTLY longer over a 62 stud span than the interior of the masonry wall. A couple times the building literally shattered while it was being handled.

WELLS - The town was built in the 1930s to accommodate the gold miners. Today, Wells is home to a generation of artists, musicians, and industrialists alike, giving the town a special vibe. It’s a place that sets you back in time. The unique and colourful heritage buildings are full of history. The population of about 300 triples during the summer season with actors and students moving in to bring Historic Barkerville alive for the season. Barkerville is located 5 km east of Wells. Built as a company town for Fred Wells' Gold Quartz Mine in the 1930's and once served as a major centre of northern British Columbia. Wells had two hockey teams, a golf course, a baseball team, a horse racetrack and a world-renowned ski hill. The Wells Community hall hosted numerous events from community plays, to community dances and badminton games. Wells reached its largest population size of over 4000 in the 1940s and then began to dwindle once the two gold mines closed.
