218 387 bespannte zum Hessentag 2018 einen n-Wagen Zug als RB von und nach Korbach, bis die Lok wie so häufig defekt wurde.

Bis es zu diesem ersten Bild des Tages kam, musste zunächst eine 50 Minuten lange Wandertour durch den Wald unternommen werden, bevor eine geeignete Stelle gefunden wurde. Zwei Zecken gabs kostenlos dazu...wenigstens ist das Bild was geworden!

Am 25. Juli 2010 fand die Aktion "autofreies Lahntal" statt. Einige Straßen wurden für den Autoverkehr gesperrt und die Gegend sollte zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erkundet werden. Natürlich nutzen auch zahlreiche Besucher zur Anreise die Bahn, weshalb die Kurhessenbahn ihre Züge verstärkte und auch eine lokbespannte Garnitur mit ihrer eigenen 218 387 einsetzten. Am späten Nachmittag war die 218 387 nochmal auf dem Weg Richtung Erndtebrück und konnte bei der Ausfahrt aus dem Betriebsbahnhof Sarnau aufgenommen werden.
