Women Weavers Association founded by Mirjana Markovic 88 yo. (low row center) to her right is Ljiljana Zivkovic, to her right is Lidija Jelovac, above left Olga Petrovic and right Svetlana Torlej. The association was found in 1995 after the war with intention to continue educating women about the dying craft of traditional weaving. The works of association members have been exhibited both in Serbia and worldwide in France, Italy, UK and Hungary. They have so far trained over 100 women in the craft of weaving, many of whom were young and will be able to carry it on to the next generations. Novi Sad, Serbia, December 2016.
