Kalamalka Lake

A nice group of American Wigeon on the Yaquina Bayfront, which shortly afterwards turned around in a group and actually headed towards us. One of them was a Eurasian Wigeon drake, a tourist who shows up occasionally on our coast. He seemed to be keeping company with a hen that (if I'm reading Sibley correctly) is an American Wigeon hen. Well, that's where hybrids come from.
