Nothing better than a delicious mouse.

Yes, this week has been very productive in terms of mouse hunting and Olaf has brought mice home several days. This time Lola stole the prey and ate it before Olaf could invite it home.

In the comments I have posted one photo in which they can be seen moments before negotiating over ownership of the capture.

Posted for the Happy Caturday theme "Favourite Things", 2026, March 7th.

I wish you all a wonderful and very Happy Caturday !!

Greenshank

Tringa nebularia

A medium-sized slim wader with a dark grey back and white underparts. Its green legs and slightly up-turned bill help to distinguish it from other waders. It calls regularly and is seen on its own and in small groups.

Taken with my Nikon D500.
