Had an amazing morning yesterday at the magical Goðafoss in Iceland. Got there for 1st light and had some great coloured skies. Did a 360 video too at youtu.be/wssUKHGYI_Y

Above Porsgrunn and Seljord in Telemark in Norway, pilot Terje Traaholt are doing aerobatics during a 25 min flight with an Aero L-29 Viper. This aircraft was produced in Czechoslovakia by Aero Vodochody i 1974. This type of airplane was mainly used as a jet trainer for the Soviet and Bulgarian Air Forces.

The image is shot with two Gopro cameras mounted on a iZugar Z2X rig, with two special lenses (circular fisheye 194 degrees FOV). The image is captured from this video, which is 4K.
Ugh, this thing is a beast. So hard to photograph; it's really better in person, as there's no one good "front" angle. I'll get more shots (and maybe a 360° video) tomorrow.
See it next week in Brickworld (if it survives the car trip)!

It's been 95 days in New Zealand without any community-spreading of Covid-19, which makes all of us here feel quite grateful. Good job to our PM Jacinda (I guess I can say that now that I am a citizen!). I just finished a new 360 video that I will publish soon about all the reasons I moved here... It's being edited now and I'll release it soon. Only one of the 7 reasons was "Just In Case of a Pandemic" - but I think you'll like all the other ones too. One of the other main reasons is I like all the locally grown organic food and it makes me feel more directly connected to the Earth and keep us healthy. This kinda thing is more important than most people think.

Today I'm off to Africa for almost four weeks on a photo adventure! This is a photo from my last time there where we tracked this furtive lady for many days and finally found her eating a warthog in a tree. If you're a Stuck In Customs Passport member (check the website), then you'll see some fun 360 videos I'll be posting from there, as well as 10 tutorial episodes from my previous visit to Africa. Explore the Space Station’s first module with your mobile phone or virtual-reality headset
This 360° video allows you to explore the International Space Station’s first module, Zarya. Launched on 20 November 1998, it was joined three weeks later by the US Unity module. Also known as the Functional Cargo Block, the module is now mainly used for storage.
ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti took the pictures to form these images in June 2015 at the end of her 199-day Futura mission.

Today sees the day where this bus: flic.kr/p/LgUfQA finally came into service on TFL London Bus Route 360 from the Royal Albert Hall to Elephant and Castle, seen here curtailed to Vauxhall, seen at South Kensington. This is a BYD K8UR electric single decker bus with “rumoured” plate technology, different to EB1 and EB2 (LC63CYA and LC63CXY). I noticed this at around 10am when I thought why is EB1/2 on the 360 fully equipped with blinds. So when I finally tracked the bus, it was actually the rumoured electric bus with plate technology. This video shows the bus in action as well as the interior of the bus.
For those who don’t know, the 360 will be receiving 14 Alexander Dennis Enviro200EVs in December this year.
If anyone has extra information, please do let me know

Panoramic image shot using 6 GoPro cameras on a Freedom360 rig. The result of this recording was large crystal clear image (11000 x 5500 pix). I'm surprised how good quality that can be achieved using standard GoPro cameras for images like this.
This image is captured from a 360 video, shot during 60 minutes in Moss in Norway. Shutter speed is 10 sec. Stitching software is PTGUI.

This visualization journeys into the famous star-forming region of the Orion Nebula based on an image from the Hubble Space Telescope. This exhilarating trip begins by flying through a layer of gas above the nebula, called the "veil." The descent to the gaseous surface provides an overview of the structure of the region as the winds and radiation from the central cluster have carved out a long "valley" in the cloud. The massive bright stars are responsible for heating the gas to temperatures at which it glows.

My entry for round 2 of #biocup2022
Theme: Numbers
Sub-theme: 4
This fourth-dimensional entity travels the multiverse birthing galaxies, using the immense gravitational effects of black holes on spacetime to tether star clusters together.
I tried to showcase the theme of 4 by referencing both the breakdown of Einstein’s equations at the singularity of a black hole, as well as my inspiration for the build; the #muse song “supermassive black hole” on their 4th album “black holes and revaluations.” Specifically, my build tries to echo the line “queen of the superficial;” tying the phrase to the nature of black holes themselves:
The 4 dimensions of spacetime are predicted by Einstein to collapse at the singularity, an impossibility in our physical world. To be able to see how our 4-dimensional reality actually behaves at these extremes, we would need to be able to look inside a black hole. However, it has been recently hypothesized that this information may be stored within the event horizon, thus making black holes themselves queens of the superficial.
