Il existe 36 variétés de maïs au Pérou, dont le célèbre maïs violet, variété unique au monde utilisée massivement dans la cuisine péruvienne depuis l'époque précolombienne. Ce maïs est consommé sous toutes ses formes : cuits en épi ou égrainé, grillé, sous forme liquide ("Chicha Morada") et en dessert ("Mazamorra"). Plus de 99% des exportations de cette variété sont destinées au marché japonais. Il vous sera très difficile d'en trouver en France.

A bit of a silk purse from an underwhelming sunset. Not the kind of shot I expected to be taking but needs must and adapting is key.
In the beginning it would have been completely impossible to have Buba sit down right in the middle of the woods and patiently wait for me to take her photo.
But after years of training we've come to a point where we can do this kind of thing without Buba storming off to chase some critter up and down our seven mountains.
Which of course doesn't mean she's not interested any more. Her prey drive is as strong as ever, and her range of expressions when listening and looking and scanning the forest is a world unto itself...
