In the beginning it would have been completely impossible to have Buba sit down right in the middle of the woods and patiently wait for me to take her photo.

But after years of training we've come to a point where we can do this kind of thing without Buba storming off to chase some critter up and down our seven mountains.

Which of course doesn't mean she's not interested any more. Her prey drive is as strong as ever, and her range of expressions when listening and looking and scanning the forest is a world unto itself...

There really is beauty everywhere...you just have to look for it. This 365 project is forcing me to open my eyes and see things that I probably would never have noticed before.

I've been trying to photograph these weeds but nailing focus on them while shooting into the sun is hard. Plus, I was crouched down, backed up into a bush, and had to lower my camera and use live view. It's soft but I still think it's pretty.
