Still hanging out in the garden, this guy came right after the rescued mantis. I was wrapping up my trimming, watering the plant down, when I saw this guy up in a Mexican Sage. He was in shade, even though it was 11 am, so I just used the ring light (on constant not flash mode) and macro I had used on the mantis. Of particular note are some unwanted highlights from using the light on a wet subject. If you look at this large, at its eye, you'll see the circle highlight from the light. I might add that I used a tripod - normally the lizards scoot soon as they see me. I began to think this guy was daid, but I did the old hand wave after some shots and, sure enough, he scooted too. Some folks never learn. All in all though, I'm working to meet Ethan's lizard challenge.
