This is another shot from my shoot around Miami. I saw the windsurfer coming behind the car and thought it would be cool for the background!

One of the the few shots that didn't make it into Mins feature on FRESHonSTANCE.com.

This is also a test run of a couple of new things I have in the works.

I'm slowly starting to push my photo editing skills in Photoshop CS6. I'm the kind of guy that enjoys simple and clean edits. Nothing too destructive to the original image. For this edit I did a few tones and curves along with applying a couple of filters that I've created. Then added a little dodging and burring to the car to bring out some details and enhance the curvature of the car.

My objective was to really bring out what it feels like to be in Dallas, TX and I'm happy to say I think I've achieved that look.

I also toying around with the idea of a new more "Professional" watermark. Let me know if you think it takes always from the picture or is too distracting

For the most part of the previous year, I tried my best to supress post-production while forcing myself to build a stronger foundation in pure photography. I set the priority and I went a complete circle after a year back to where I started. With a stronger foundation, better understanding, and more experience, I think I have outdone myself in the past.

notes: for the most part, shooting this photogenic car wasn't a difficult task. The angle I close here was only natural to me, although I know there are people who would argue about the tilt, but I think it adds dynamics and feeds life into the image. The shot was taken under a shade of a building but the sunlight was pretty diffused that day late in the afternoon. The HDR process allowed me to better control the lighting in post-processing. Noise control was added partially to enhance the reflective look. The burnt edges and corners better focus the subject and adds drama to the overall look.
