Looks to be quite a tidy, clean example that hasn't been tampered with. To me the E36 saloon is the best looking 3 Series body guise of any generation as it looks clean, crisp and smart. Showing 113,000 miles as of last MOT in October.
Melbourne has been thrown into another Covid Lockdown. I was missing getting out and about with the camera, so I decided to take a creative photo of my car instead. It’s a nice change of pace from my usual landscape photography.
Ruined E36 number 2. This one was involved in a hefty front end shunt back in 2005-6 and has been sat here ever since. The front window is smashed too, so I dread to imagine what the inside is like.

Don't be fooled by those M3 alloys, as it isn't one. Same can be said for the Alpina like striping. I ironically photographed this elsewhere not long after too, without realising. It has a few signs of someone playing with it, such as the exhaust, lowering and the clear halo angel eye headlights on top of the pinstripe and alloys, and I do find it is hard to find an E36 that hasn't been played with. This has, contrary to looks, covered 201000 miles at the last MOT in September. It also had quite a fail sheet a couple of years ago so it is good to see that there is no expense spared to keep this one going.
Registered in Surrey, this E36 has an MOT till September, but is currently on SORN.
Not too surprisingly there are over 350 in this spec still on the road. However, only 18 of these are from 1996.

It has a healthy amount of tax and MoT still left on it, but the owner doesn't seem to be rushing to get it taken away.
