I dont usually do this but I am actually posting a Night HDR for the purpose of telling you how happy I am with my new Canon 5D Mark II. This shot was at 3 exp at 3200 ISO. I have uploaded the entire image so you can see just how little noise is actually generated. I will post the iso 100 shot as well but I am going to work that image a little more. Just very impressed with this camera. Also impressed with Seattle. Love it here every time I come. Its a beautiful city and a blast to photograph at night. Can anyone guess where this was shot from? location wise.
An all too common sight back in the day; Collett 0-6-0 3200, ex Templecombe, being dragged by 8F 48409 leaving Bath on its journey to Swindon for breaking. This was on a foggy 23rd January 1965, it had been withdrawn from Templecombe a week earlier. I saw it again the next day at Barrow Road, in my notes it is next to 2822

Captured this eagle in a chase as it flew by with its meal in the low light. Not too bad at ISO 3200.
I have a note that says "sun going in and out. only there a minute. first light in days!!!". :)
conor is always happy to model for me in all the spots filled with light. and if it's winter and he's sleeping somewhere, he may be transported to that spot. haha.
oh you guys. I'm holding conor close these days. at the beginning of december his blood work had taken a deep decline from 3 months prior. the kidney disease has progressed and we don't know if that rate of progression will continue or if it will stabilize for awhile. he has blood work done every 3 months so we'll see how it looks at the beginning of march.
on my last visit, my beloved vet told me she was retiring. that would be our last visit together. she was with me through all of Madeline's senior years and for the past many years with conor. I'm so sad to lose her. after so many years of seeing her every few months, first with Madeline and then with conor, it feels like losing a core of my support system. :(
think good thoughts for my little boy.
Conrail 3200 leads train TV12 at the Amtrak station in Rochester, NY on November 15, 1994. The Kodak headquarters building is just to the right of the 3200. In 1994 Kodak was starting it's long, steady, decline as a major Rochester industry and company.
