Near Castle Combe. We suddenly decided, this morning, that as neither of us has ever been to Castle Combe village, and we hadn't just gone somewhere for a day for a while, that we would drive to Castle Combe and have a wander. We drive a Hybrid car, which is not perfect, environmentally, but better than many, so off we tootled with Baxter....It's a charming village, and the lanes around are all bedecked with autumn colour!

Auch schon wieder 9 Jahre ist es her, dass die treue MEG 313 mit einem leeren Zementzug zwischen Fredersdorf und Rüdersdorf aufgenommen werden konnte. 2017 wurde die Lok an die LEG verkauft und wieder in Betrieb genommen.

About 2 weeks after I took this pic of a long abandoned house in the slowly dying village of Dana,IL..it was finally torn down.It had sat abandoned for nearly 20 years,the few neighbors nearby were probably thrilled.Only issue,the house across the street was abandoned and full of junk,and the nearby trailer court had more decaying,empty trailers than ones that were occuppied. But as they say,small steps....
Im Einsatz für HSL war die silberne 187 313 mit einem Kesselzug durch das Maintal nordwärts unterwegs. Mit Blick auf dem Main wurde der Zug bei Gambach fotografiert.
Die Railpool 187 313 war für HSL mit einem Kesselzug zum Flughafen unterwegs und konnte bei Hagenacker abgelichtet werden.
Dark days
The days are dark and wet over here.
It seems to get dark around 3pm now!
7 days left until the shortest day of the year... and then the days will start getting longer again :)

For the first time since buying my new camera I had the chance to knock off the attempt of a pacing shot. Here train 313 rolls southward after leaving the town of Okotoks, AB behind, with CP 7001 and UP 7396 on the head end making it somewhat of a colourful consist to shoot.
