Near Castle Combe. We suddenly decided, this morning, that as neither of us has ever been to Castle Combe village, and we hadn't just gone somewhere for a day for a while, that we would drive to Castle Combe and have a wander. We drive a Hybrid car, which is not perfect, environmentally, but better than many, so off we tootled with Baxter....It's a charming village, and the lanes around are all bedecked with autumn colour!

About 2 weeks after I took this pic of a long abandoned house in the slowly dying village of Dana,IL..it was finally torn down.It had sat abandoned for nearly 20 years,the few neighbors nearby were probably thrilled.Only issue,the house across the street was abandoned and full of junk,and the nearby trailer court had more decaying,empty trailers than ones that were occuppied. But as they say,small steps....
