Near Castle Combe. We suddenly decided, this morning, that as neither of us has ever been to Castle Combe village, and we hadn't just gone somewhere for a day for a while, that we would drive to Castle Combe and have a wander. We drive a Hybrid car, which is not perfect, environmentally, but better than many, so off we tootled with Baxter....It's a charming village, and the lanes around are all bedecked with autumn colour!

Auch schon wieder 9 Jahre ist es her, dass die treue MEG 313 mit einem leeren Zementzug zwischen Fredersdorf und Rüdersdorf aufgenommen werden konnte. 2017 wurde die Lok an die LEG verkauft und wieder in Betrieb genommen.
The colours of Autumn show well here; it's also the Autumn of ENX single-decker operation which are slowly being replaced by LT class double-deckers. As seen on a walk.
About 2 weeks after I took this pic of a long abandoned house in the slowly dying village of Dana,IL..it was finally torn down.It had sat abandoned for nearly 20 years,the few neighbors nearby were probably thrilled.Only issue,the house across the street was abandoned and full of junk,and the nearby trailer court had more decaying,empty trailers than ones that were occuppied. But as they say,small steps....

Für HSL im Einsatz ist die Railpool 187 313 - bei Hagenacker ist sie mit einem Kesselzug auf dem Weg nach Vohburg zu sehen.
Im Einsatz für HSL befindet sich 187 313. Hier war die Railpool Lok mit einem bunten Kesselwagenzug nordwärts unterwegs.
Dark days
The days are dark and wet over here.
It seems to get dark around 3pm now!
7 days left until the shortest day of the year... and then the days will start getting longer again :)
