Jedným z historických expresov, ktoré organizoval cez leto Banskobystrický samosprávny kraj, bol Sklársky Expres. Trasa vlaku viedla zo Zvolena cez Lučenec do Kokavy nad Rimavicou, kde v minulosti vo veľkom fungoval sklársky priemysel. V Kokave sa dala navštíviť výstava Príbeh skla II, kde sa o histórii sklárstva účastníci mohli dozvedieť viac. Do čela tohto expresu sa postavil Okuliarnik 753.109 patriaci KHT Zvolen. Na fotke je zachytený Os 30705 (Zvolen Os. St. - 》Kokava nad Rimavicou) pri prejazde cez Poltár dňa 6.8.2022 o 10:21.

Akcia pod názvom Sklársky Expres do sklární v Kokavici nad Rimavicou do ktorej čela stanula Zvolenská trojka ktorá pomaly príde zo svojím špeciálnym vlakom do svojho cieľa.
Illinois Central Gulf Railroad SD28 9451 at Covington, Tennessee on July 19, 1986, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in September 1965 as CAGY 702 ( c/n 30705 ) on EMD Order 5693, it became ICG 9451, was wrecked September 29, 1989, and was sold to NRE August 17, 1992. Only six domestic units were built, and here's what Wikipedia has to say:
An EMD SD28 is a 6-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between July 1965 and September 1965. Power was provided by an EMD 567D1 16-cylinder engine which generated 1800 horsepower ( 1.3 MW ). This locomotive was basically a non-turbocharged version of the EMD SD35. Six examples of this locomotive model were built for American railroads. Another six of a passenger variant, type SDP28, were built for export to Korea in 1966.

“A Martin Marietta Corporation artist’s concept of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Skylab cluster circling 270 miles above the earth. Skylab is a manned experimental space station scheduled for launch in 1973. Components of the orbiting cluster are, left to right, the Apollo command and service modules (CSM), which taxi astronaut crews between earth and space; the Multiple Docking Adapter (MDA), to serve as an experiment control center and space dock; the Apollo Telescope Mount (ATM), a solar observatory for the first long-term study of the sun from outside earth’s atmosphere; the Airlock Module (AM), the doorway to space for crewmen during extravehicular activities (EVA); and the Orbital Workshop (OWS), which contains crew quarters and experiment areas. Skylab, 118 feet in length, contains about the same volume as a moderate two-bedroom house. Its two sets of solar energy panels develop enough electrical power to supply four average homes.”
Note the periscope-like appendage extending out from mid-body of the OWS. An intended experiment package at the end of an extendable boom, deployed from the solar scientific airlock. Which, in reality, was occupied by the initial 'parasol' deployed to shield the station from the sun, saving the mission.

Woodring Branch Campground is located in the North Georgia Mountains on the beautiful Carters Lake Project, which is just a short 70 miles north of Atlanta. Carters Lake provides clean, safe, and quiet campgrounds that help you escape the hustle and bustle of your day to day routine and relax with your family. Woodring Branch offers boating, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking at the day use area, and many other summer activities. Woodring Branch has two different loop style trails from from easy to moderate. Amadahy and the Oak Ridge Nature trail will ensure a great family hiking experience as they both include a wide diversity of plants, animals, and scenic views. The campground has 2 boat ramps with limited boat trailer parking spaces for all your boating needs. Woodring branch at Carters Lake has something for everyone, no matter what your hobbies are.
Facilities - This heavily wooded campground offers many sites with scenic lake views. Electric hookups are available at many of the campsites. Flush toilets, showers and drinking water are provided. Additional amenities include a children's playground and a dump station. A boat ramp and swimming area are on-site.
Natural Features - Carters Lake embraces a spectacular tract of foothills scenery in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. It covers 3200 surface acres and has 62 miles of undeveloped shoreline.
Recreation - Boaters visit Carters Lake to enjoy its solitude and scenic beauty. Whether in a powerboat or sailboat on the open water or paddling along the shoreline in a canoe, Carters Lake offers enjoyable boating experiences for everyone. Fishing is a popular activity on the lake. Major species include bass (largemouth, smallmouth, hybrid, striped and spotted), crappie, walleye, bream and catfish. Bank fishing locations are limited due to steep shoreline terrain, but six boat ramps are scattered around the shoreline, offering easy access to the lake. The Amadahy Trail is located in the Woodring Branch Recreation Area. This 3.5-mile loop is excellent for beginners with flat to rolling terrain. Bikers and hikers are treated to beautiful views of Carters Lake along most of trail's length.
