I found two old roll films in a shoe box with photos. The box moved more than five times with me and was last in the basement. Now I have developed one of the films, an Ilford HP5.

Amtrak #30 heads east through Haysville on the Ft. Wayne Line. The train is running over 3.5 hours late which made this photo possible.
Hamburg, 30 Seconds
30 seconds—long enough to make the movement of an entire city visible. While a train passes across the bridge as a glowing streak of light, the historic arches and the calm surface of the Alster remain unchanged. Long-exposure photography condenses countless moments into a single frame, revealing what often goes unnoticed in everyday life: the steady rhythm of the city.
Between the warm lights of the bridge, the reflections on the water, and Hamburg’s distinctive skyline, a scene emerges that thrives on contrasts—movement and permanence, energy and tranquility, present and past. An ordinary moment, captured in 30 seconds.
