After going to Africa twice and spending almost 7 months there I would have very vivid African dreams. Many times they were in all red backgrounds with a strange light with no horizons .. with a fuzzy- ness around the images. I tried to capture this on several painting I did of these dreams ....
There was a time when I lived in a real grass shack on the island of Ha'apai. I was on the island to work with a Tongan healer Seletute ....

Although Mandelbrot invented the word fractal, some objects featured in The Fractal Geometry of Nature had been previously described by other mathematicians (the Mandelbrot set being a notable exception). However, they had been regarded as isolated curiosities with unnatural and non-intuitive properties. Mandelbrot brought these objects together for the first time and turned them around into essential tools for the long-stalled effort of extending the scope of science to non-smooth parts of the real world. He highlighted their common properties, such as self-similarity (linear, non-linear, or statistical), scale invariance and (usually) non-integer Hausdorff dimension.
He also emphasized the use of fractals as realistic and useful models of many phenomena in the real world that can be viewed as rough. Natural fractals include the shapes of mountains, coastlines and river basins; the structure of plants, blood vessels and lungs; the clustering of galaxies; Brownian motion. Man-made fractals include stock market prices but also music, painting and architecture. Far from being unnatural, Mandelbrot held the view that fractals were, in many ways, more intuitive and natural than the artificially smooth objects of traditional Euclidean geometry.
The word "fractal" has two related meanings. In colloquial usage, it denotes a shape that is recursively constructed or self-similar, that is, a shape that appears similar at all scales of magnification and is therefore often referred to as "infinitely complex." In mathematics a fractal is a geometric object that satisfies a specific technical condition, namely having a Hausdorff dimension greater than its topological dimension. The term fractal was coined in 1975 by Benoît Mandelbrot, from the Latin fractus, meaning "broken" or "fractured."
...it's mysterious how beautifully da universe is designed. Music and art are in and out of every part of it and us. No wonder (yes! wonder!) we are creative beings.

This is what happens when I'm home all day, bored. I start to flesh out more characters to turn into dolls.
Henry Porter here is obviously a parody on Harry Potter. Since Harry was always very impulsive and it took his friends to really figure stuff out and save the day, I figured I would amp that up a bit. So Henry is kind of a dumb jock type. Pretty to look at, definetly has what it TAKES to be a hero, but dumb as a box of rocks and constantly flubbing his attempts at heroics..
Henry will traverse both Maxine's world and Darrien's world as he is sort of human, but still kinda magical. I'm not sure if he would make a good friend, foe or WHAT to Darrien (and to a lesser extent, Maxine)...but we'll see how he evolves the more he's 'dollified'

called da collective unconscious.
Let's look deeper at how science could now teach what sacred
space is (the real science of Feng Shui). If we look in a room at da
place which is most likely to feel sacred, we actually also find da
place which will most improve da growth of germinating seeds.

It turns out dat dis sacred energy quality, the "sweet spot"; where seeds grow best, where people have da sharpest attention span, peak perception and peak performance – is simply da place where da most number of electric field lines converge into and become a fractal!

At around 12 midnight, Halloween night, sleeping in the yurt I opened my eyes the exact moment a powerful shooting star shot accross the sky dome -it was white, red, orange all together ... it came from the SE sky going toward the NW ...
a magic event through the eye of the yurt ..... an omen for sky beings to come ..

I asked Howll what he would like for his Star School prize pack and one of his choices was for me to do a picture of Pinkie in my signature style. I was very happy to do it.
Since Pinkie was always very sexy I went with a blonde bombshell-Jessica Rabbit style for her. I think it really captures Pinkie as how she was post-show. Still sexy but a little more sophisticated.
