Le pont de Rohan est un pont habité franchissant l'Elorn au centre de Landerneau, dans le Finistère. C'est l'un des plus vieux des dix-neuf ponts bâtis d'Europe. Construit au 16ème siècle au fond de l'aber qui servait de port, il a l'originalité supplémentaire de subir la marée et de séparer l'eau douce de l'eau saumâtre.

A hole in the clouds illuminates James's flamingos feeding in the alkaline waters of Laguna Lejia at sunrise.
James's flamingo (Phoenicoparrus jamesi), AKA the puna flamingo, is one of the three species of flamingo found in Chile and of the six species in the world.
Like all flamingos, they are omnivorous filter-feeders, filling their beaks with salt lake water and sifting it out to eat plants, insects, shrimps, and fish.
Laguna Lejía (Bleach Lagoon) is a salt lake in the Atacama desert.
It is located in the Chilean Altiplano of the Antofagasta Region,
100 km (62 mi) south-east of San Pedro de Atacama,
at an altitude of 4325 m (14,200 ft).
It is shallow and has no outlet, currently covering an area of
nearly 2 km² (0.77 sq mi) with an average depth of 1.2 m (4 ft).

Nach einer eher schlechten Wetterprognose in Südfrankreich, was eigentlich der Plan für das letzte März Wochenende gewesen ist, sind wir sehr spontan für einen Spassausflug nach London. Nachdem wird gemerkt haben, dass Dublin nicht mal so weit von London weg ist, spielten wir mit dem Gedanken dort hinzugehen. Für beide war es ein neues Land auf unseren Länderlisten. Für mich war es Land 22, für meine durchaus grossartige Reisebegleitung war es das 41. Das Schiff Holyhead-Dublin war dann sehr schnell gebucht. Als wir am Hafen von Dublin geankert haben, haben wir gesehen, dass die Sonne ein bisschen zwischen den Wolken durchschien, entschieden wir uns ein Foto zu schiessen, um ein Irland Album auf Flickr zu machen. In der in Innenstadt haben wir an der strecke zu den Docklands etwas gefunden mit einem urbanen Vibe. Neben dem Royal Canal gelang uns in den letzten Sonnenstunden des Abends noch diese Auslösung von dem kultigen Fahrzeug aus dem Hause CAF.

Langs de Ierse kust bij Newcastle was op 27 mei 2007 Iarnród Éireann treinstel 29103 onderweg van Dublin Connolly naar Rosslare Europort.
Bij het maken van de foto was ik nog droog, twee minuten later helaas niet meer..
Kurz bevor der Regen kam, fotografierte ich am 27. Mai 2007 Iarnród Éireann Triebwagen 29103 als Zug von Dublin nach Rosslare.
Rechts grüßt das Irische Meer, links - typisch für Irland - ein verlassenes Haus.

When I made the picture I was still dry, when I got to the car (two minutes later) I was soaking wet...
Passing by today, I thought I'd see if any of the new electric buses were visible in the depot.
And there was! 29103 (LJ68 CZC) was fortuitously parked right at the front, in clear view. It's an Alexander Dennis/BYD Enviro200EV.
These are due to enter service on the four park and ride routes on 7th January 2019, when the operating hours of the sites are also extended.
After over 20 years, dedicated Park & Ride livery is being dropped in favour of the operator's standard livery.

In January 2019 Stagecoach South introduced a brand new fleet of nine BYD D8R / Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV B36F 10.8m battery-electric buses on their four Park & Ride services in Guildford.
Marketed as "glide" the fleet of buses are numbered 29101-9 (LJ68CZA-H/K) and each service requires a pair of buses to operate them. The Spectrum 100 runs Mon-Fri and the Artington 200, Merrow 300 and Onslow 400 runs Mon-Sat.
I caught 29103 LJ68CZC at Onslow in April 2019.
Are friends electric ( part 2 ) . The other Saturday I took a shot of an elderly Stagecoach double decker( MX55KRG) running the Guildford park and ride service in Merrow and wondered where the glide electric buses where . Well it seems they ( I saw another one as well ) are on the 715 to Kingston .

A train leaving the Grade II Listed Lancaster Station, in Lancaster, Lancashire.
Originally known as 'Lancaster Castle Station' in order to distinguish it from the first Lancaster Station (1840–1849), Lancaster station was officially opened on 21 September 1846. The first public service ran into the station on 17 December the same year. The station was built as the southern terminus of the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway after the initial planned route for the line - which would have followed the Lancaster Canal and crossing the River Lune from Ladies Walk to Skerton - was changed in favour of a cheaper route west of the city.
The station was remodelled in 1900-1906 when additional lines and platforms were added and further station buildings constructed. The new buildings were styled mock-Elizabethan with the intention of mirroring the battlements of the nearby Lancaster Castle. Platforms 5 and 6 (on the east side of the station) were electrified in 1908 to serve the now-closed Midland Railway route to Morecambe and Heysham. This line closed in January 1966 and the overhead line equipment was removed.
The track layout in the station area was rationalised in 1973 when control of the signalling was transferred to the new Preston Power Signal Box. This included the removal of the track from Platform 6, although this platform had seen no regular use for some time prior to this. The West Coast Main Line through Lancaster was electrified in 1974, and regular electric passenger services recommenced at the station 7 May 1974.
