The new pier 26 in Manhattan is a pretty nice place to check out the sunset. The light, the view of the skyline, the vibe was made for an amazing evening.

Sotto il cielo limpido, il Monviso si erge come un re antico, custode silenzioso della pianura Padana. I suoi pendii innevati raccontano storie di vento e di tempo, mentre il campo fiorito ai suoi piedi vibra di luce e di vita. È l’incontro tra la quiete delle montagne e il respiro fertile della terra, un dialogo eterno tra altezza e orizzonte.
Beneath the clear sky, Monviso rises like an ancient king, silent guardian of the Po Valley. Its snow-clad slopes whisper tales of wind and time, while the blooming field below pulses with light and life. It is the meeting of mountain calm and fertile breath, an eternal dialogue between height and horizon.

AMSTERDAM LIGHT FESTIVAL - The form and content of Janet Echelman’s luminous 1.26 sculpture, that suspends over the Amstel river in Amsterdam, has been drawn from the study of earth’s interconnected systems. Echelman used laboratory research from NASA and NOAA, which documented the effects of the 2010 earthquake in Chile — the historic shock resulted in the shortening of the earth’s day by 1.26-microseconds, which became the influence for the installation’s namesake.
The colorful volumetric piece takes the shape of a Tsunami canyoning across the ocean. In her studio, she generated a three-dimensional model of the tsunami that resulted from chile’s earthquake, then used software to create an outline of the rendering’s highest amplitude area, realizing the silhouette as a sculptural form. the material underscores connectivity — Echelman’s work utilizes spectra, a material that is 15 times stronger than steel by weight. the knotted mesh can withstand high winds, but is engineered specifically to imitate the intricacy of handmade lace.

Every detail tells the story of a perfect adaptation an ancient reptile, guarding the delicate balance between earth and foliage.

Julia, "Krokodyl" z numerem bocznym 26 prowadzi skład pustych talbotów. Pociąg porusza się po szlaku Cukrownia - Wygoda. Po dojechaniu do stacji Wygoda uda się w kierunku jednej z dwóch działających wtedy odkrywek węgla brunatnego. Od 11.08.2022 wstrzymano wydobycie urobku na odkrywce "Drzewce", a jednotorowy szlak prowadzący do niej w najbliższym czasie zostanie rozebrany.
