Am Abend des 4.6.22 war V330.8 mit einem Sonderstahlzug im Vorharz unterwegs. Da dieser erst kurz vor 18Uhr ab Ilsenburg fuhr, konnte der BÜ Steinfeld bei Vienenburg einmal aus einer anderen Perspektive umgesetzt werden. Planmäßig verkehrt leider kein Güterzug im passenden Zeitfenster.
On the evening of 4.6.22, V330.8 was on its way with a special steel train in the Vorharz region. As this train left Ilsenburg shortly before 6pm, the Steinfeld railway crossing near Vienenburg could be seen from a different perspective. Unfortunately, there are no scheduled freight trains in the appropriate time slot.
Mittags war V330.3 dann mit dem Kalkvollzug DGS 95442 von Blankenburg Nord auf dem Rückweg zum Hüttenbahnhof in Salzgitter. Bei Wennerode pirscht der Blue Tiger durch das ehemalige Zonenrandgebiet.
At noon, V330.3 was then on its way back to the smelter station in Salzgitter with the full lime train DGS 95442 from Blankenburg Nord. Near Wennerode, the Blue Tiger prowls through the "no man's land" which was the border between the two german states until 31 years ago.
Thanks to some brush cutting recently, the ledges at Tarratine have been opened back up, although there's one code line pole that needs to be leveled. That, combined with the new 250 schedule, have allowed for some "new" shots that weren't previously possible, outside of the rare severely off schedule train. AC44CWM 8129 is leading SD70ACU 7045 with a small train as they make an easy climb up the hill out of Tarratine,

Nur kurze Zeit nachdem dieses Foto bei Hof entstand, brannte es in der Lok, zwar existiert die Lok noch, jedoch fuhr sie seit dem Vorfall nicht mehr.
Über zwei Jahre ist es her, wo ich dieses Foto anfertigen konnte, als sie mit einem Düngemittelzug im letzten März-Licht Döhlau in Richtung Münchberg durchfuhr.

METX 525, painted to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial, spent a couple days on the Milwaukee District - North this week. I wanted to get a simple and easy shot showing off it's new paint and defaulted to the Osterman Ave curve in Deerfield; I'm a creature of habit. With how well Metra keeps their equipment clean, I suspect I'll have ample opportunities to try something different in the future.

Täglich nachmittags verlässt der ER53846 planmäßig den Bahnhof des Walzwerks Ilsenburg mit einer frischen Ladung Stahlbleche. Auch für die Beförderung dieses schweren Zuges zum Rangierbahnhof Seelze setzen die Verkehrsbetriebe Peine-Salzgitter einen Blue Tiger der Havelländischen Eisenbahn ein. Hier rollt V330.8 an der Anrufschranke des BÜ Steinfeld zwischen Vienenburg und Oker vorbei. Leider war der Himmel an diesem Sonntag nicht besonders klar.
Every afternoon, the ER53846 leaves the station of the Ilsenburg rolling mill on schedule with a fresh load of steel plates. The Peine-Salzgitter transport company also uses a Blue Tiger from the Havelländische Eisenbahn to transport this heavy train to Seelze marshalling yard. Here V330.8 rolls past the call barrier of the Steinfeld level crossing between Vienenburg and Oker. Unfortunately the sky was not very clear on this Sunday.
Am 09.05.2020 brachte die HVLE mit 250 004 Baustoffe nach Greifswald. Am frühen Morgen erreichte der Zug als DGS 95476 aus Röderau den Bahnhof um dann zum Entladen in den Anschluss nach Greifswald-Ladebow zu fahren. Abends ging es wieder zurück in den Bahnhof Greifswald um von dort aus seine Fahrt als DGS 95454 nach Wustermark Rbf anzutreten. Hier ist der Zug auf seiner Rückfahrt von Ladebow nach Greifswald zu sehen.

A living Museum of the Great Western Railway. The Centre was developed around the original 1930s Engine Shed and is home to a large collection of Great Western Railway steam locomotives, carriages, wagons, buildings and memorabilia.

Continuing the series of shots from my chase across Canadian Pacific's Mooshead Sub we see the eastbound Montreal to Brownville Jct. manifest approaching the Maine State Route 6 / 15 grade crossing at MP 51.4, a place known as Tarratine station on the old CP.
Leading the modest 43 car long train 250 east on Boxing Day are a pair of GMDD veteran SD40-2s: CP 6067 and 6062 both built in London, ON in Jan. 1985.

Am 18 Juni 2021 ging es nach 2 Jahren endlich mal wieder nach Österreich. Zwar nur für eine Tagestour, aber das reicht für den Anfang erstmal. Ziel war die Passauerbahn zwischen Wels und Passau. Erster Stop war an einer Wiese in Wernstein am Inn. Die Wiese hatte der Bauer erst frisch mit Kalk bearbeitet, weshalb die Schuhe danach leicht weißlich aussahen. Dort angekommen, stand das Siganl bereits auf Fahrt. Also wurde schnell alles aufgebaut. Was ich aber nicht wusste war, dass dieses Signal ein Blocksignal ist und ich daran keine Zugfahrt aus Richtung Passau erkennen kann. Dennoch dauerte es nicht lange, bis sich der erste Zug blicken ließ. Zu meiner Freude war es ein schicker Alpenstaubsauger, in Form von ÖBB 1144 250 mit dem R 5913 aus Passau Hbf nach Linz Hbf. Eine sehr schöne Fotostelle mit dem alten Bauerhof im Hintergrund wie ich finde. In Wernstein kann man motivlich auch sehr schön variieren, was ich beim nächsten Besuch sicherlich auch mal machen werde. Dieses Mal war dafür aber keine Zeit, weil es weiter Richtung Wels gehen sollte. Die Fotos dazu kommen in den nächsten Tagen.
