Viel Sonne gab es zuletzt Mitte Dezember, sogar in Kombination mit etwas Schnee. Gelegenheit, die Kamera mal wieder aus der Mottenkiste zu holen und etwas zu knipsen.
Für mich ging es das erste Mal an die Strecke des "Gera IC", welchen ich hier bei Großschwabhausen mit 245 024 in Szene setzen konnte.
Met een beetje passen en meten konden de steeds langer wordende schaduwen, van de ontelbare windmolens nog uit beeld worden gehouden. De laatste foto van de dag werd gemaakt van de 245 024 welke met autotrein AS1458 onderweg is naar Westerland.
DB Fernverkehr 245 024 (Bombardier TRAXX P160 DE ME) with one of the well known Syltshuttle from Westerland (Sylt) to Niebüll.
Vijf omlopen zijn er in totaal nodig om de DB autotreinen tussen Niebüll en het eiland Sylt te rijden. Volgens planning met BR245, maar met een beetje geluk worden er nog BR218 setjes ingezet. Zoals hier al te lezen was hadden wij het geluk dat er de deze dag twee sets gebruikt werden. Een dag eerder zagen wij al dat er één setje werd ingezet. Later kregen we nog te horen dat de dagen ervoor geen BR218 inzet was geweest.
Maar goed, de BR245 werd natuurlijk ook vastgelegd. Zo ook de 245 024 die zojuist uit Niebüll is vertrokken met AS1442 naar Westerland.
AS 1439 Westerland(Sylt) - Niebüll
Am 8. Mai 2018 ging es um die Mittagszeit erneut zum Einfahrtssignal von Lehnshallig. Dort sollte neben "Debbie" mit dem RDC-Autozug und dem IC nach Frankfurt(Main) Hbf auch ein DB SyltShuttle verewigt werden. Dieser war sogar auf den Flachwagen sehr gut ausgelastet, was mich sehr gefreut hat. Denn bisher hab ich an dieser Fotostelle nur leere rote Flachenwagen hinter den DB Loks gehabt. Was daran liegt, dass ich die letzten Jahre meistens am Sonntag oben an der Marschbahn gewesen bin. Und da dürfen bekanntlich Lastkraftwagen nur mit Sondergenehmigung fahren...

"Here stood the lumberman's village of Searsville, whose first settler, John Sears, came in 1854. Across the road westerly from this monument stood a hotel. The store, school, blacksmith shop, and dwellings were to the southeast, some on the site of the current lake and others overlooking it. Buildings were removed in 1891 as water rose behind the new dam. State Registered Landmark No. 474. Marker placed by the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County in cooperation with the San Mateo County Historical Assocation. Dedicated June 8, 1952."
This marker sits at Portola & Sand Hill Road near Woodside, California.

( WrestleMania XXX (also written as WrestleMania 30) was the thirtieth annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE. It took place on April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the first WWE event simultaneously broadcast live on pay-per-view television and WWE's new streaming media service, the WWE Network. Seven professional wrestling matches were scheduled on the event's card and one pre-show match was streamed on the WWE Network.
Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H in the first match on the main show to qualify for the triple threat main event match, where he defeated Batista and defending champion Randy Orton to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The event was also notable for The Undertaker's 21-0 undefeated streak at WrestleMania coming to an end with a loss to Brock Lesnar. The WWE Divas Championship was the other title defended on the main show while the WWE Tag Team Championship was defended on the pre-show.
WWE claimed $10.9 million in ticket revenue for WrestleMania XXX and estimated a $142.2 million economic impact on New Orleans. The event has received highly positive reviews. SLAM! Wrestling rated the show a 4.5 out of 5, while the Pro Wrestling Torch rated the event 8.75 out of 10 and The Times-Picayune described it as spectacular. )
