Bei diesigem, nasskalten Schmuddelwedder, ist dieses rosa Containerschiff ein richtiger Farbtupfer im Hamburger Hafen.
Es ist die ONE CYGNUS, IMO: 9806081. Sie ist 364 m lang, 51 m breit und kann 14026 Standardcontainer transportieren bei einem Tiefgang von knapp 16 m.

The Estrela Mountain Dog is a large breed of dog from the Estrela Mountains of Portugal to guard herds and homesteads.
Comet Neowise low in the North West sky around Midnight as the constellation of Ursa Major sinks towards the horizon. Captured on Friday night whilst out on an astro shoot at the Daymark Tower near Kingswear, Devon, UK.

Ex-B&M GP9 1741 rounds the curve and approaches the depot in Conway, NH. It is leading the annual 470 Railroad Club Excursion on the Conway Scenic Railroad. 1741 is owned by the Club and is running on home rails.
What seemed like a rare cam morning... definitely some warmth returning to the sun and sounds of life returning in the local birds
An attempt at night sky photography taking advantage of Raby Castle's illumination over the Christmas period. Composite of 2 exposures - one for sky and foreground ISO 1000 f2.8 15secs; the other for the castle ISO 200 f5.6 25secs - Separate WB adjustments required. I think what looks like light pollution, colour noise or reflection is actually wispy cloud.
Ocean Beach near Strahan on Tasmania's West Coast.
Arrived at the beach right on sundown with a vigorous cold front off the Southern Ocean crossing the coast.
Truly is a remarkable part of the world and I can't wait to get back there.

A Conway Scenic passenger train snakes through the rock cut at the Gateway and parallels Route 302 on the approach to Crawford's. Both the 255 and 252 are original Maine Central GP38s that are operating on the old Mountain Division. The 255 still wears its Vermont Railway colors, being purchased by the Conway Scenic in 2021.

After beeing with the SUP at lake Eibsee, I took the bike to get at a viewpoint which seemed to be well suited for sunset. Taken with the 24-70 f2.8 Nikkor at the Z7 with 24 mm focal length.

After a 4 hour round trip to Crawford's, Conway Scenic 252 and 255 put away their train into the yard in North Conway, NH. An old B&M Telephone reminds us we're in B&M territory on this part of the railroad, while the two GP38s are MEC vintage.
Shot with two off-camera strobes (Godox AD200Pro/Godox X Pro II L) Flash A, bare bulb, mounted on overhead boom, slightly behind subject, tilted backwards. Flash B mounted behind velum scrim, modified with MagMod MagSphere. White reflectors place on sides and in front of subject. TTL metering used with a 3:1 ratio.

This waterfall adorns the Yellow Dog River northwest of Marquette in Michigan's upper peninsula not far from Lake Superior, an area rich in forests and waterfalls.
This is an older image that I have been sitting on. I'm trying not to burn through more recent captures - it's a long winter.
