WORMERVEER - The Zaan Region is the oldest industrial area in Europe, and perhaps of the world. Zaanse companies are old themselves. But at the same time often still very much alive. The oldest Zaanse company that still exists today, the Morian head in Wormer, is 433 years old, 93 companies are older than 100 years, 12 are older than 200 years, 5 are over 300 years old.
WORMERVEER - De Zaanstreek is het oudste industriegebied van Europa, en misschien wel van de wereld. Zaanse bedrijven zijn zelf ook oud. Maar tegelijkertijd vaak nog springlevend. Het oudste Zaanse bedrijf dat nu nog bestaat, het Moriaanshoofd in Wormer, is 433 jaar oud, 93 bedrijven zijn ouder dan 100 jaar, 12 ouder dan 200 jaar, 5 ouder dan 300 jaar.
Nadat er 2 foto's werden gemaakt bij Dordrecht kwam de melding dat de Poznan onderweg was. Iedereen dacht dat die onderlangs zou gaan, echter bleek dat niet zo te zijn en werd er via Zwolle gereden. Snel werd er naar Rottterdam Alexander gereden en naar de parkeergarage gelopen.
Helaas waren we net 2 minuten te laat.
Daarna werd nog gewacht op de gemelde HSL en Captrain. De 1832 van HSL komt langzaam langs de parkeergarage gereden met een fraaie keteltrein naar de Kijfhoek en passeerde de 7 fotografen.
Nadat HSL langs was gekomen, werd nog ongeveer een halfuurtje gewacht op de Nosta shuttle, die ook via Zwolle reed. Als trein 41768 passeerde de trein de 8 fotografen die na het maken van deze foto wel welletjes vonden.
Als ERB 99346 von Nienburg / Weser nach Minden Westf. ist der Ersatzzug mit 110 278 an der Spitze hier in Wasserstraße unterwegs.

Timmy has developed a funny habit over the last few months: when he comes in from outside he sits down in front of his cold buffet and waits for me to come over and stroke his head. Once is enough. Only then does he start to eat. Exceptions only when he is VERY hungry 😊😊😊

The aircraft had very recently been re-registered from N1304E.
You can clearly see a rectangular shape on the lower fin where the previous registration has been over-painted,
The last great steam show on Earth runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week with at least 1 train per hour. The industrial activity hauls trains consisting of approx 400 tons of coal from deep within the open cast coal pit approx 12 kilometres to the unloading facility at Xuanmecheng where it is transferred via conveyors to other trains for onward shipping to power stations.
